On something like this you have 3 components that could cause this symptom. The touch pad, display & main control board. The main control board should provide 12 volts DC to the touch pad & display boards. Test pins J1-2 to J1-1, J4-2 to J1-1 & J5-1 to J1-1 should all have 12 volts DC.

Oven heats very slowly (Jenn-Air JGS9900BDS).

hi, Could be a bad bake element or a bad temperature sensor. If the element will glow bright red/orange with no hotspots it is OK. Take a volt/ohm meter set for ohms and check the temp sensor. If less than 1050 ohms replace it.

From the looks of things there is just one screw on the bottom that holds the ignitor and the burner after removing the two screws looks like it fits tightly over the orifice...

Plus ...yes... everything gets corroded in there and that make it all harder to do...

Use firm force with patience....:-)

Model JGS 9900BDS gas range

HI. You should be able to see fault codes at this point and be able to initiate a diagnostic program. If you have no control over the board and no error codes are being issued, this will lead to a failed EOC(Main Control Board). You will need to replace this board. It has failed.

The EOC part number will be 74011872. Click on that number to purchase. I have also included the service manual for this unit, below. This manual will guide you through the replacement procedure, among other future issues, as well.

Jenn-air JGS9900 downdraft slide in gas range - no power and electrical outlet IS working

There are several possible reasons why your Jenn-air JGS9900 gas range may not have power:
  1. Tripped Circuit Breaker: Check the circuit breaker for the range in your home's electrical panel to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it.
  2. Loose Electrical Connection: Check the power cord connection to the range to make sure it is secure. Also, check the wiring connections behind the range to ensure they are properly connected.
  3. Blown Fuse: If your range has a fuse, check to see if it has blown. You may need to replace it.
  4. Faulty Control Board: The control board is responsible for supplying power to the range's electronic components. If the control board is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
  5. Faulty Igniter: If the burners are not igniting, the igniter may be faulty and need to be replaced.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.

Jenn-Air jgs8860bdp broiler doesn't ignite.

There are a few potential issues that could cause the problems you're experiencing with your Jenn-Air broiler. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Make sure the gas supply to the broiler is turned on and that there are no blockages in the gas line.
  2. Check the gas valve to make sure it is open and functioning properly.
  3. Make sure the gas burners are clean and free of any debris or obstruction.
  4. Check the broiler burner for proper ignition. It should ignite within a few seconds of turning on the broiler. If it does not, the burner orifice may be clogged and will need to be cleaned.
  5. Check the gas pressure to the broiler. If the gas pressure is too low, it can cause the flames to be low or go out.
  6. Make sure the broiler igniter is properly seated and connected.
