Can't open door
Is this the kick plate? On some of these dishwashers, the upper part of the lower plate has a step. The step should be oriented so that it looks backward when compared to an actual set of stairs (the ninety degree angle will come into the dishwasher and the flat side be oriented to the floor). If you're putting the plate on upside down, it will get in the way of your door hinges.
Heating element comes on and stays on when not even called for.
There is a stuck relay or switch somewhere.
The important thing at this point is that you get it turned off!!!
Flip the breaker if you have to, but get it off, as it is a fire hazzard like that.
You can attempt to diagnose the problem yourself if you like and we can help. You will need a multimieter hat can read Volts, amps, and ohms.
If not, disconnect power and call a pro. But whatever you do, get it off ASAP.
Dishwasher will not run
here is the link for the manual etc. if you need it

I hope this helps :)
Door
With the door in the open position, looking down at it, you'll see a number of screwheads along three sides (the non-hinge sides). By unscrewing all of those you'll be able to lift the inner stainless steel plate away from the rest of the door, exposing the wiring. NOTE: lift the inner plate away easily as wires are attached to it. ALSO: I suggest keeping track of which screw goes to which hole as 2 of them are longer than the others.
Dishwater odor
Lots of ideas,,, Try cycling the dishwasher without dishes on the hottest setting and about 10 miutes into that cycle..stop it and add 2 ups of white vinegar to the water.. let it complete the cycle..
The problem is that standing water with food byproducts will begin to smell as they break down. Like all dishwahers, there is always a small amount of water that remains in the drain system at all times so it is important to clean the filter trap and to periodically air it out or use the white vinegar method..
Hope this helps you...
Dishwasher fills with water... wont wash
usually if the motor is not kicking in then it is a blocked/seized wash motor or a broken wire somewhere from the timer to the motor. either will mean a stripdown. try checking out the motor first.
WATER LEAKS UNDER THE SINK WHEN DISHWASHER IS IN
Check the connection to the drain tailpiece from the dishwasher under the sink and make sure the clamp hasn't slipped off and is tight. Check the drain hose from the dishwasher and be sure it's not split or damaged. Check the drain spur on the drain tailpiece and see if it's corroded or leaking. Check the trap under the sink as well and make sure it's not leaking.
