I have an AEG F55002ViOP dishwasher. It's making a strange grinding sound and showing error code 30. Can anyone advise how to solve this please.
Error "i30" means that water remains in base because leakage or overflow. In this case, in order to prevent flooding, drain pump running continuously.
When we talk about AEG dishwasher, drain pump works even the power is turned off (must be connected to the wall outlet, otherwise anti-flooding system will not work).
The noise what you heard during operation indicates that something is blocking the drain pump.
Remedy: you should first remove the water from the bottom of the dishwasher and determine leakage then check why the drain pump makes noise.
If you work around the dishwasher, you always take care that appliance must be disconnected from the power supply.

Fault is associated with cylcling pump which pumps the water during washing. It sounds like it is only happening occasionally which could mean that the control board for cycling pump is faulty. If happening every time then pump may be faulty. This parts can be pretty pricey so if its only happening occasionally then you may want to consider living with it until it gets worse.
Dishwasher floods instead of filling
Possibly food blockage. You can try shooting some air under pressure into the fill hole to blow it free. A simple shop vac on "blow" may be enough if you do not have a small compressor. Other possibility is the exhaust going into the garbage disposal is blocked so that the water cannot exhaust and any amount added floods the unit. (first item is most likely).
