The "OFF" symbol will defrost the unit.

This noise is the fan motor going bad because a bearing is worn out. You need to replace the fan motor before the compressor goes out.

Check connections from your power outlet to your fridge. If the motor is not running check your thermostat. if not working check your compressor motor.

Screw out the bulb or unplug and take it with you to the store to purchase a new one. reinstall in reverse order.

Not a 5 min. explanation, but in short, if the compressor and fan are both running, question is, Is the freezer cold but not the fridge? If so, defrost properly for approx. 12 hours to remove all ice then restart. If not, one of 2 options remain, there is either a Blockage in the system, or there is a leak in the system. Either way, you need to call a service technician. Truthfully, if diagnosed with a leak, i suggest you replace the fridge as these leaks do not get repaired properly especially if it is internal and good money will get wasted. Hope i helped.

Normally when there is insufficient air flow in the room the freezer door will condensate and show wet spots.Have that often when testing a fridge in the workshop. Once the door is wide open, the wetness on the door goes away.

That material is put there underneath the defrost heater on the floor area of the freezer to prevent the heat from possibly melting the plastic below. Aah, the favourite complaint. Basically, the display/ Main board will either need to be replaced or possibly reprogrammed. Fortunately i send my boards needing reprogramming to a friend to get done. Works extremly well after that. Careful not to let the clicking continue for long as the compressor will certainly malfunction.

Your electronic board needs reprogramming or replacement. Very common with Whirlpool fridges.

If you replace the starter on the compressor unit and start capacitor and timing unit, will work as new. good luck, take ur unit upstairs next time. Russ

Is it coming from inside the freezer or outside? If outside either the auto defrost timer is a problem. If the noise comes from the compressor, almost certainly the starter relay inside the electrical cover needs to be replaced. It can be purchased at most refrigeration outlets. If coming from inside, you need to defrost the freezer properly for 12 hours then restart. The noise should go away then.

Difficult call there as whirlpool has a strange manor especially with the larger units. I had a callout on a double door whirlpool unit once and the compressor wouldn't come on but i couldn't find anything wrong. Anyway, i decided to leave the fridge untl the next day giving it a chance to possibly come on. About 5 hours later the customer called and said unit running very well and no more problems. Basically leave on for a few hours and see. If no output then call a tech .The testing procedures need equipment and electrical info..

Depends how long it was off for but it usually means high temperature.

No easy solution. Washing with all the various products will help to a point but in effect it needs to be left open for about a month to naturally fade away.

Please check : - Your door for small leak ( gasket / seals) - Temperature sensor for malfunction. A failed sensor will show wrong data.

oh wow . i have the same freezer with same exact problem. i bought it brand new. i can definately see the seal on top is not installed properly. i always thought it was only my freezer but i guess its a manufacturing issue.

syringe the drain with neat clorine bleach to clean it out just in case its blocked.use car deicer to clear existing ice (not hot water)and see what happens...

Since you say the compressor is running, you should check the evaporator coil inside the cabinet. Remove the back wall screws, and the back wall, to expose the evaporator. If its fully encased in frost, like a square block of snow, you have a defrost problem, heater, t- stat or defrost control. If frost only at the top, your fan is not running. If its bare of frost, all you see is the aluminum coil, you have a sealed system leak of refrigeratnt
