This is a very wierd problem that we have been dealing with for years, and never seem to get a correct answer. Have actually seen green slime like oil inside the units before. From what we have heard, is that this oily substance is actually coming out of the blower fan assembly inside the unit. Its like bearing oil from the center support shaft. Will go away over time, but the fan may or may not go bad. Good luck with the mystery oil.

Look carefully for a button which has small print under it that says something like "Lock - hold 3 sec". Press and hold that key for 3 or more seconds to unlock the keyboard. Same as locking it - press Cancel/Off for 5 seconds until it beeps twice.

I have to assume that you are referring to the cooktop lamp. Under the microwave there is one screw to remove to access the lamp. It is a 30 watt candelabra base lamp. Yes, the door panel comes off easy (3 screws on the side). Mine was cracked so I ordered a new one. Not the vent above it is cracked. Cheap plastic!

you have a bad magatron... eather it's short or ground.. out of warranty ? if so drop it off at scrap yard.

I had the same exact problem. My clips arced when I ran the unit and I also observed flames which was quite unsetteling. A work around for me, since I don't use the rack was I took it out then removed the clips. All that was required to remove the clips was a pair of plyers grabing each cliip at their base. I pulled firmly and there is alittle resistance but with a firm pull straight out they'll pop out.

But I have to say if you use rack your probably looking for a new mircowave.

The clear plastic cover is glued on. It can be removed with a heat gun to soften the glue. Then clean with Goof Off or WD40 and alcohol before installing the new one.
