Hello,

To reset the dishwasher push in this order the,

HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY- HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY - CANCEL/OFF

the control will be reset...but more importantly how many times ina row does the light flash..it will indicate what error code its displaying??

example if it flashes 4 times then a pause then flashes 4 times again its displaying the error code#4
7 flashes then pause then 7 flashes its displaying the error code#7 ect ect

your dishwasher may just need a good cleaning. dump in two cups of cheap vinegar and run it on its hottest longest cycle, no soap, no dishes. When the cycle is complete the inside will be as clean as it can be and your funny smell and residue should be gone.
