Error F28

The F28 code is a comm failure between the MCU and the CCU. First, check the wiring harnes connections to the MCU, the Motor, and the CCU. Make sure all the connections are tight and there are no ground wires off. Then check the connections of the CCU board within the housing. Yes, I read a couple past members that diagnosed it as the MCU being the cause more than the CCU.So you can order the MCU and/or the CCU, then I'd install the MCU first to see if that fixes it.

Wfw8300sw04 does not complete wash cycle. Clothes stay wet and door does not unlock.

Assuming that you mean the washer stops at the spin cycle and door remains locked, then thats normal safety precaution when tub has water in it. If the drain pump is bad or restricted this could be a reason for this happening. You can get the door opened by taking off the bottom front portion of the washer also known as a kickplate. Once this is done with the machine unplugged you can reach up on the right side an there usually is a plastic tab that you pull that will release the door catch. While your down there you can check the drain pump, located in the front center of the machine. On most of the front load the pumps have a center piece facing forwad that you can twist to the left to unscrew and remove any debris that could be blocking water flow. If this is the case you still may need to replace the drain pump depending on how long somethings been in the pump. Note that while you're doing this you will also find what they call a tech sheet inside the machine. This will give you step by step instructions on how to enter the diagnostic mode, and run test etc. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3

Bad smell in drum of washer

Unfortunately this is a quite general problem today as we are washing more and more in rather low temperatures. Gunk and slime packs up in the rubber gaskets and elsewhere in the machine, smells horrible if not kept under control.

There are a few things you can do.

1) The most important thing IMO is to make sure to wash at the highest temp at least once a week, 90-95 degrees Celcius.

2) Always leave the washing machine lid half open when not in use in order to allow the inside to dry.

3) A supplementary thing is to run an empty machine wash cycle once a month or so using bleach (chlorine) in the recommended dose for your machine. Use highest temp to maximize effect.

There is also some work that can be done with a rag, mechanically cleaning out the gasket and all accessible parts in the detergent compartment etc, however this may have quite limited effect. Worth trying nevertheless.

Good luck!

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

FH error is displayed when the control detects no water entering the machine. To clear this error press and hold the PAUSE/CANCEL button twice. You can then check if the water inlet valve is fine and not clogged with foreign particles, try to clean it. If the water inlet valve appears to be fine then check if the pressure switch hose is properly connected to the pressure switch & tub. Please get back to me if you have any questions.

Foisty smell coming from underneath

Hi.

Check the drain filter. The filter should be located behind the trim at the base in the front side of the machine. The filter is protected by a cap.Unscrew the cap and have a container ready to collect water. Remove blockage from the drain filter and refit parts in reverse order.

Disconnect power before starting the whole procedure.

If that does not work, then the smell may be in consequence of mold inside the tub, usually on rubber part. In that case use a product like this to clean the machine: 32 Oz Spin Fresh.

Regards.
