Sorry to hear about the hose being struck by lightning. That can be really scary. There are only one or two things on your Direct Vent Wall Heater, that could be affected by a lightning strike. Because, there is only one thing that requires 115 volts to operate and that's the blower fan. The rest of it, is all millivolt controlled (the pilot generates millivolts of electricity to operate those features). There is one exception to that rule, depending on which Model DV-55 you have. There are 2. One uses millivolt control entirely and the other uses millivolt with a 24 volt thermostat.
The first thing that needs to be determined is if the Pilot Light is lit or not. If it's not lit, nothing will work. If it is lit, it should cycle to light the burner, when you turn the thermostat up higher than what the room temperature is. If that is the case, I suspect that the 24 volt transformer on the wiring from the heater to the thermostat got fried. It's not a big deal to replace. Nor, is it expensive. You could probably find a replacement 24 volt transformer at your local home center. Just make sure they both have the same number of connection terminals.
I assume that the blower has a receptacle that it's plugged into just inside the bottom heater panel. That's the general way to wire and install it, rather than hard wiring it. If you have the receptacle unplug the blower and plug a lamp into it, to see if there's power still to the unit. If there's not, you're going to need an electrician. On the upside, if there's power there, it's a definite PLUS.
To help you further troubleshoot the problem, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual, that you can download and print for future reference.
