Bose multi CD changer will not play anymore
In most cases when the CD does not play it ispossible that the optical head is a suspect. Sometimes it might pick up ordinaryaudio CD but will not play other formats. This indicates that the optical headis weak and so there is no detection or scanning of the CD. If the optical is workingthe tracks will be read immediately but with no scanning the laser head can bedefective. The main motor will not work in some cases asunless the tracks are read the drive motor will not work with signal from theprocessor. Also in some cases the central motor base can shift and so thedistance to the disc can be more resulting in low detection. You can pull upthe spindle to come closer. Sometimes certain cleaner disks will not be tracked to run for cleaning as it willnot be read and so will reject. Hence it is ideal to manually clean the laserhead eye using a cleaning swap /cotton bud with gentle pressure on the lenseye. If there is no result then watch if the CD spins or tries to spin. If so theboard seems to work unless a test is taken on the main board but thepossibility of a defective optical head can be the suspected fault. If any of the above seems otherwise we must recheck with possibilities of amalfunction of the main processor board
CD stuck in BOSE 3 disk stack player
I had the same problem and went to the Bose Tech Support site and found this solution. It allowed me to eject the stuck CD. The same problem happened again when I tried to enter another CD but after repeating the process below the CD ejected again and after that it worked fine.
Hope it works for you.
Try performing a reset with your Wave® music system upside down:
- Unplug the system, flip it upside down, place it on a firm, level surface, then plug it back in again
- If the CD ejects when you do this, the system may need to be serviced. Contact Bose® Technical Support or call 1-800-278-1281

Hi,First of all ,congratulation ,you have a very nice system..but like all sophisticated electronic equipment yours may fail too..sorry about it.. .I assume that it is not under warranty ,is it ?
this problem happens due to a stuck CD in one of the slot ..I will propose a simple solution first and if it does not work I will propose something else later but it will void the warranty if there is......
Unplug it from main power and wait 5 minutes
While holding your finger on EJECT key ,PLUG it again TURN it ON..your finder still on EJECT ..
BOSE suppose to reset itself and CD drawer should come out..if no response press EJECT key several times..
If it does not pls let me know..

CD player for Bose Wave suddenly reads DISC ERROR
Hi,
In most CD players, this issue is being caused by either two things. First, the lens is not able to read the media inserted. It can be that it is dirty or the mechanical alignment has been moved far enough for the laser not to reach the media properly.
Second, it can be that the motor that runs to turn the CD is not running on its usual speed. I've serviced a lot of CD players and this is mostly what I find on "disc error" issues. Try to run a Lens Cleaner and see if it solves your issue. If not, you have to check the alignment of the lens. If you are comfortable in tearing the player apart, you can try replacing the motor and test.
If push comes to shove, we might be dealing with a corrupted software which is not serviceable and replacement is the only option.
Hope this helps.
How can I get an

First you'll need to take the cover off the system. Once inside you should be able to take the cover off the CD Tray and remove the CDs by hand.
Wont read the remote
Hi, I may have the answer, it sounds like the remote may be broke. They are expensive if I'm not mistaken so repairing it is my advice. there are only 4 parts to them, the upper and lower halves of the case, the keypad, and the circuit board. The 2 to 3 things that can go wrong with a remote are the battery terminal/s being corroded due to a leaked battery, the keypad has contamination on the backside where it contacts the circuit board and-in some remotes-a " ceramic filter " a kind of "chicklet" looking component on the circuit board that can actually break apart on the inside if the remote is dropped just right or too often( this can be determined by removing batteries and tapping or shaking remote-if you hear a small rattle this may be culprit-although disassembly has been required to tap the ceramic filter itself to hear the rattle) . Repairing the batteries terminal is as easy as it sounds-just look for a greenish or whitish foreign substance on the springs/contacts-and clean off enough to reestablish a good connection with the battery( rule of thumb-if there is metal showing on the contacts where the battery touches, they're clean enough). repairing the keypad if dirty is a little harder, just because it involves disassembling remote, remove screws ( maybe located inside of battery compartment ) gently pry open case ( may involve working around the edge between the two halves for a ways to get it to split) remove circuit board, clean the little dots behind each button with some rubbing alcohol-clean the little maze like looking gold colored paths on circuit board the same way. To fix a broken ceramic filter you'll actually need to find an orphaned remote control that you can cannibalize for its ceramic ceramic filter. just unsolder old one-solder in new one. Sorry for the short story sized solution, trying to be thorough for you. I hope this was useful, please comment back to let us know and thanks for choosing FixYa, good luck-Prodzilla
