Machine not taking powder
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
From your comment the water feed into the wash powder section of the dispenser tray is not working properly. Follow these instructions for first removing the dispenser and thoroughly cleaning and then clean all of the jets where the water is supposed to enter. Afterwards replace the dispenser;-0)
-------------------------------------
Try the following- in the second and third cases whilst looking from underneath!
Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit). You may have to push the bottom of the dispenser upwards.
lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath. Again you may have to push the bottom of the dispenser upwards.
Pull out the dispenser drawer far enough to be able to just see the trays, select each part of the cycle in turn (briefly to save time) and check that water is entering the trays. If it isn't there is a fault with the water distribution and an engineer call is required ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.

When turning on, 'CA' is shown in a panel and not
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Very sorry but my list of AEG fault codes states 'CA' as 'motor triac (the bit which controls the motor speed) short circuit' which really means a service call ;-0(
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.

During an intensive cycle the
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but with such a fault it is virtually impossible for anybody on this FixYa forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer.
It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid, main motor, drain motor etc.
.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

Lavamat 74640 - wash cycle
Hi Andrew from retired Englishman in SW France,
(No- I don't type very fast; most of this I've pre-typed!!!)
It could be that the drain motor/pump itself is blocked/jammed.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but FixYa cannot do that direct- members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)
???
Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

I am renting a bach
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

C2 error code,
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
'C2' for AEG washers is reporting a 'pump blockage'.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.

I need an operating manual for the Lavamat W 80
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry, this forum is not able to supply any type of manual, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.

I have a new AEG
I have exactly the same problem - but with the additional concern that there was water in the outlet hose & the drum was damp.
Who did you purchase yours from? What was the outcome?
My machine arrived yesterday evening (Friday) & there's no customer service over the weekend.
I have caught a piece of clothing in the door
hello there is a way but it only works on some machines you need 2 people you have to tip the machine on side slightly the other person has to reach underneath and manually unlock it. it a fiddler thing to do but it might work hope it helps
regards
shaun
Have an error code on my machine E20 - is it
You need to clear out the drain pump. E20 means drain blocked. You should be able to access the pump from the front bottom by unscrewing and removing the filter. If not then you will need to tilt the machine back as far as you can so you can access the underneath. You will see the small drain pump. Have a basin ready to catch any water that comes out when remove the pump which is only held in by 1 or 2 screws and twisted out or pulled out. If it is clear then try removing the pipe that goes from the pump to the base of the tub. Commonly a sock gets stuck. Hope this helps
Lavamat 72620 is mid cycle saying C2 what does
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT it could mean 'Clean item 2'. I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
