Unplug it. Carefully take off the grill and use a vacuum and/ or a damp cloth to clean the blades etc. Do not soak with water. Just a DAMP cloth on the blades only!!!!

The fan uses security fasteners to prevent dis-assembly. To clean the fan, disconnect power from fan and use compressed air to remove dust.

OH, NO. It gone south faster than Willy the Coyota trying to catch the Wild Road Runner. It's kaput, finny, it died, Don't throw it way. Please recycle it, copper is $3.25 per/lb, brass is $1.85 per/lb.

• very simple
• grab a philips screwdriver and a pair of pliers
• unsrew the three main screws holding it together. one on the carrying handle and the two screws at the feet of the fan
• pull of the outer shell
• you will see the fan filter
  
• use your pliers and unsrew the nut right on the center of the filter
  
• pull out the filter.
  
• begin taking out all that dust
• put everything back together and you have a WAY CLEANER FAN :D
