Water damaged TV
If the set was on most likely severe damage by the cold drink and are not that easy to remove. It won;t just dry up like water would but, will leave behind a sticky conductive substance on the board basically shorting it out. Count your losses and purchase another television.

Remote
Press the menu button on the tv set. Then using the volume buttons you can turn the game mode on or off. To use the other functions on the tv you would press the menu button then use the channel buttons. The only thing you can't do without the remote is use the sleep mode.

Having trouble hooking up my DVD player
Try looking on your tv's menu for "input" or "input select". This should allow you to switch to your front AV inputs. If that doesn't work hook into the coaxial cable in the back of the set (the one for your cable or satellite input. Plug the cable from the output or to tv side of your reciever into the input of the dvd player and run another lenghth of coaxial cable from the output of the dvd player to the coaxial input where your satellite or cable was plugged into the back of your set. When you want to watch a DVD just turn on the DVD player and the picture should come up. When you turn it off your satellite or cable should come right back.

Code
Hi - Here is a description of a few terms that might help, especially if you're in the market for a tv. If this answers your question PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be glad to assist you further. Thanks.
High definition television is the highest form of digital television. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is the same as a movie theater screen. This is possibly HD’s biggest selling point. The other is the resolution. High definition is the best available picture on a television. It comes in three different flavors: 720p, 1080i and 1080p.
What do 720p, 1080i and 1080p mean?
High definition programs are encoded with a type of resolution: 720p, 1080i or 1080p. The number stands for the amount of lines embedded within the signal. The letter describes the type of scan the television uses to display the picture. The ‘i’ means interlaced and the ‘p’ means progressive.
Why does the amount of lines matter?
The number of lines on a television is important because it allows for greater detail in the image. This is a similar concept to digital photos and how dpi determines print quality. The type of televisions all of us grew up watching had 480 visible lines on the screen. By doubling the amount of lines in combination with the type of scan, HD essentially doubles the quality of picture.
Does it matter if the resolution is interlaced or progressive?
The type of scan is arguable considering the amount of lines for each HD format. Progressive scan is a better type of scan because it doubles the amount of times the TV displays the image per one second in comparison to interlaced. Still, the difference between 720p and 1080i is so minimal that is isn’t an issue at all. While 1080p is better than 720p and 1080i, very few programs are made in this resolution so it really isn’t a factor right now…and, it might never be.

InputChannel without remote
Yes and no depends on the TV if you have a menu button press it and go to autoprogram and let it find all the channels then press channel down until you get to channel 1 then press it again and it should start cycling through aux inputs.sometimes TVs dont have a menu button and this is not possible.try simply pressing channel down until you get to channel 1 then maybe it will cycle through your inputs. Please rate me if this helps.
