Pioneer DEH-P4800MP CD Player Questions & Answers
I have a pioneer super tuner III D 50 w x 4 and i
turn the unit off by pressing and holding the off button. The only thing that should be showing then is the time. Then, press and hold the function buttion. This should display the setup menu. Scroll through the menu by pressing the function button (I think). "Aux" should show up and then press up/down or left/right (not sure again). When it says Aux on or yes, turn the unit back on. Press the "source" button until you get to AUX.

THe radio doesn't recognise the AUX connection
While you may read over a million answers to this problem, try this one first:
With the KEY ON, POWER THE UNIT OFF, by pushing the volume button IN for 3 seconds.
After power is off and key is STILL ON, press and hold the volume
button AGAIN for 3 FULL SECONDS. The elusive "Initial" settings should
reappear at this point. press function to navigate the INITIAL SETTINGS to turn on AUX1 or AUX2, and even to set the clock...
To get out of INITIAL SETTINGS, simply press
again for THREE SECONDS, or press "BAND" to "escape"...
I hope this helps.

Pioneer DEH-P4800MP - Can not get into INITIAL mode to change settings
Actually, TRY powering OFF the unit, and release the volume button. Then, press and hold ONLY THE VOLUME BUTTON, until the initial settings appear. Pioneer really needs to get their act together on this issue. I have read all over that MANY people have had this issue, and the website is just a repeat of their lame printed manual.
Hope this helps. In review:
From OFF, press and hold ONLY THE VOLUME BUTTON. The initial settings shall appear at this point after about three seconds...
I just read these instructions, and while trying it, I found that my FUNCTION KEY had ABSOLUTELY NO FUNCTION IN THIS.

How i can use usb on DEH 4800 MP
The DEH 4800MP does not have a direct USB connection. To get this you need to purchase a separate adapter which plugs into the IP BUS port on the back of your head unit. It is called a CD-UB100 usb adapter. Unfortunately these are becoming harder to find for a reasonable price. You can see what they look like
here and they can be purchased on ebay
here. Cheers, Dan
