• From page 14 of the owner's manual, the error code AO indicates an "Electrical or Mechanical cause"; they recommend turning the ignition off and then back on, and then toggling from CD to radio and back to CD again.
  
  If you're still getting the error code, then you can try to check for loose connections yourself (or perhaps a jammed disc?), but you'll probably have to take it to a certified Pioneer Service Center or the dealer where you purchased the unit.

No reason being the perminent live that keeps the memory for the radio is obviously still feeding the CD side with ignition off.

you can try cleaning the contacts of the face and subpanel with qtips and rubbing alcohol or a pencil eraser. if that doesn't work, you may have a bad switch.

You may want to try disconnecting the power and then reconnect power after about 20 seconds, if you haven't already tried that.

You probably need to enable the aux input. To do this, turn the deck off and then enter the function menu. Set the aux input to on and you should be good to go.

The ribbon cable has gone bad. A new one can be ordered direct from pioneer at parts.pioneerelectronics.com

If the screen is blank I doubt if resetting it will help. More than likely you have some bad solder connections on some surface mount resisters inside of the radio. Unless you are good at soldering small components I would suggest you have it repaired professionally.

Its the ribbon cable needs replacing going from the deck to the faceplate

The flexible cable that goes from the face to the main motherboard may be bad.

That ERROR code is a CD problem, ERROR·11, Dirty disc Clean disc/Scratched disc Replace disc. ERROR·11, Electrical or mechanical, Turn the ignition ON and OFF, or switch to a different source, then back to the CD player.
This unit may not operate correctly depending on the application used to encode WMA files, Depending on the version of Windows Media Player used to encode WMA files, album names and other text information may not be correctly displayed.

You would need the Pioneer CDIB100 iPod adapter instead.
It might charge your iPod, but it does not charge some iPod devices such as the Nano, iPod Touch, and iPhone.

Please check the wiring, specially the speakers cables according to picture below:

you may have a bad switch (switches).

did you test that there is 12 volts? do you have a multimeter to test it? make sure the connections are good. make sure it's grounded properly, the circuit needs to be complete to have the display working.

make sure the radio face is seated all the way
if everything work but the display the radio should b replaced

Someone who works there probably had a dead one that he "traded with you. Sounds shady to me.... I wouldn't trust no one, even at a dealership.
