I had the same problem..tried to pair it for hours but could not get it to do it till the battery ran out and i had to recharge it..
I later found out that it was not pairing because the batteries were low. If the battery gets below a certain level it will not pair the headset because it's trying to save energy. anyways after a full charge it paired just fine...hope this help you guys....
How do you program it to phone?
Basicly tunr on your phone and go to the bluetooth options and set it to pairing (options vary a little phone to phone) and once it is set to look for or accept incomming connections then turn on the heaset
At this point it may well ask for a security code.
That would be listed in the headset manual but two common ones are also 0000 or 1234
At which time you should see activity on your phone and the two items should hook up together
Without the phone model it is a little hard to be very specific but you should be able to get by with the instructions above

Unfortunately, the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset does
not have a replaceable battery, it is "hard wired". However the 510
headset does have a one year warranty, so Plantronics will replace it
within the warranty period. If it's out of warranty, you can buy a
replacement if you'd like or buy the newer version which is the
Plantronics Voyager Pro+, which is just a newer, slimmer model and it
also has newer technology (for the same cost). Here are the links

I called in with a "noise" issue.
Tech support stated if I have purchase date evidence the one year warranty is valid. Send copy of receipt with the unit and a replacement will be provided free. I sent it in with copy of my original receipt. Turn around is 3-5 days after receiving.

Hearing a Plantronics Voyager 510 headset through a computer:
To use a Plantronics
Voyager 510 headset through your computer, you
either need a USB Bluetooth adapter or you must have Bluetooth built in
to your computer. Once the Voyager 510 headset is "connected" to your
pc (by one of the mentioned ways), you may need to go into the control
panel on the computer or the specific software program being used to set
the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset as the "default device". Keep in
mind that the headset has to be powered on and to also have to activate
the headset to connect to the Bluetooth adapter or computer.
