Hello,
Welcome to
FixYa.
The "F2" for Asko dishwashers indicates either the unit is overfilling, or the valve itself has failed.
The problem is likely the fill valve, based on your description...
"It has been flashing an F2 error code and the timer starts at 65 then switches to "1" which stays on during the cycle. Now it will run for about a minute then stops completely".
Depending on the series of dishwasher you have, determined by serial number (
I don`t mean the model... I got it is a 1895 ) because those
Asko machines had a revision to their valves moving from a dual solenoid to a single, the single substituting all dual coil valve units.
i.e.
The original
Asko number would be # 8057508 and available at most brick & mortar parts vendors or on- line places such as "repairclinic.com".
** turn off the breaker at the service panel before servicing the unit...safety first**
To check the valve will require the removal of the lower panel/kick plate or also referred to as a toe panel, and with the aid of an ohm meter and at least one wire removed from each/the coil, measure the ohm value of the coil.
The valve will be on your right...
i.e.
It should not read infinite, but rather 0 to 93Kohms.
That should move you forward and hopefully solve the problem. Let me know if anything is not clear or if you require further assistance.
Thank you for choosing
FixYa and good luck.
** If you have any reservation or are not completely confident servicing this unit please call in an authorized Asko technician **
These can be very difficult to service for one inexperienced, I see so-called pros mess them up all too often.
Regards,
Macmarkus :)
