I have maytag mgrh752bdw and converted to LP and
depending on the color of the flame if more yellow than blue,then you need to adjust the air/fuel ratio mix on the supply manifold that supplies all the top burners, or if only on one burner does this,then you may need to clean out the gas orfice on the burner unit or just replace the sealed burner unit for that particular top burner unit

You need to contact the landlord and I will tell you why: The stove should not have issues above and below simultaneously. I comment you for not wanting to bother the landlord but I feel like you have an electrical problem. The oven not there and the top not there? You have a bad circuit breaker on that puppy. Takes a 50 amp 2 pole 240 volt breaker for an electric stove and only qualified schocktricians should fool with them. My opinion. If you need further help, reach me via phone at

I need to change my Maytag oven from celsius to fahrenheit.
I had the same problem, after multiple calls to maytag I finally rec'd an answer. I feel your frustration, didn't need a service call for this.
On my model hold down the keep warm and cancel button for 3 seconds and it will change it.
