Very hot around freezer door from top to bottom
That would probably be from an anti- sweat heater the designers put there to keep condensation from forming in humid climates. There may be a switch to de-energize this heater, check the owners manual.

Hi, There is a hole in the lower back of the freezer compartment that
carries the water to the drip pan when the fridge goes through the
defrost cycle. Water on the floor means that hole is plugged and the
water seeps through the doors. See the owner's manual - it will describe
this issue. The fix is to have the blockage removed by squirting a
solution of hot water and baking sode with a turkey baster or a similar
injector.
The solution needs to be injected into that
plugged hole. When the water from the injector starts going down (into
the drip pan at the back) instead of coming back up, the blockage is
removed and the problem should be solved.forgot to clarify that the solution needs to be injected into that
plugged hole. When the water from the injector starts going down (into
the drip pan at the back) instead of coming back up, the blockage is
removed and the problem should be solved.
Take care.

Maytag refrigerator.not producing ice .not
When I run into a refrigerator acting like this I start by thinking controls. Controls like defrost, temperature, compressor start components and once I see what it may be I have a look at the likely problem location. Your model appears to have an ADC adaptive Defrost Control=>
67004704 Adaptive Defrost Control
Here is a photo location of the part=>
MSD2652KEB Control Panel
Look inside the fresh food compartment and behind the controls part 12 is your ADC. Once you change that things should begin to get colder providing other parts of the defrost system are OK. Have you noticed ice buildup in back of freezer as a layer of frost building on the rear wall? When you say not cold enough that points to a restriction of air flow caused by no defrost. If I missed anything please let me know. I do think once the ADC is changed you will see it cooling again normally or manual defrost with a hair dryer will keep you for a couple days. Thanks, Sea Breeze

I changed the water filter!
ck the water valve ( the one at the water pipe where the shut off is . some of thes valve won't let enough water through. due to the small hole in pipe .. best to use a new valve and drill the pipe to 1/4 hole. and use a larger valve. ( they work much better ..mm

BOTTOM PART IS FREEZING TOP PART IS HOT
you evaporator fan motor is stuck. Very possibly ice build up causing the fan to stop. Either defrost for about 12 hours or strip and defrost ice with a hairdrier. I suggest natural defrost.

Our fridge keeps freezing up & we keep
You have a problem in your defrosting circuit. To troubleshoot it, you will need a voltmeter, some basic hand tools, and an electrical schematic. You can download the schematic from the Maytag web site.
I had a similar experience, and the problem was a defective defrost thermostat. A replacement thermostat cost $6 + $10 shipping. It was located on the back wall of the freezer behind the panel and beside the coils.
There are lots of appliance part dealers on the internet. Do a search for appliance parts, and take your pick of vendors. The web sites will have manuals, so enter your model number and look through the parts list for the part you wish to purchase. I would not recommend just replacing parts until you stumble across something that works. Take the time to figure out which part is defective using a voltmeter and fix the problem the first time.

Refridgerator will not cool. manual defrosting
Hi,
Usually when this happens it is because of a problem with the fan that moves cold air from the freezer section of your unit to the refrigerator section. Either the fan has gone bad or the unit has frosted up to the point of stopping the fan. Try defrosting (unplugging) the unit over night and then check it to see if the fan runs. If not then replace the fan. If it runs and then stops after awhile like days or even a few weeks, then you may need a defrost timer.
The other thing that can cause this is the heating element going bad, but this is not usually the problem. The element can be checked with an OHM meter. If the coil does not have any resistance then it is bad.
You can find parts for your unit by doing a search for “appliance parts”.
Once you get the results of the search, pick a site and when it comes up it will usually ask for the model number of your unit.
Enter your model number and you will then get a page with exploded views and a parts menu.
Find the part you need and then order it.
Check a few different sites to be sure that you are getting the best pricing.
Most sites can have the part to you in a couple of days.
I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!
Thanks for using Fixya!!

I replaced the freezer motor
Which motor did you replace? Is it going in te the right direction? Check the RPM's of the new motor vs. the old. If you have a clamp meter, you can also do an amp draw to see what the amperage is and then check on the nameplate to see the correct amp draw off the motor.

There is gas leaking from our fridge freezer
You punctured the coolant line. It will definitely need to be serviced ASAP. I would advise against using it and it should probably be unplugged (it's not going to work now, anyway...).
