i just put a new hv board in my new maytag ice 2o and now the display reads pe0-000. the compressor works but nothing is getting cold. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks, biggin.
TO KEEP YOUR FRIG WORKING UNSCREW THE TOP LEFT HINGE COVER AND PULL APART THE PLUG, FRIG WILL CONTINUE TO COOL TILL A REPLACEMENT BOARD IS INSTALLED.

I am having the infamous Maytag Refrigerator problem with the blinking lights, flapping ice cube door. I ordered and received the Maytag Part Number 12920710. The part I removed is a Part No.12920704, so that part number must have been replaced, can't find it now. I pulled the Service Specifications located under the refrig. on the right hand side. It has the Programming Code Instructions. I am having problems with setting the Program code...... When I turn on the Refrig. I get PEO 000 on the display. Instructions are to: 1. Press and hold the Door Alarm Keypad 2. Press and hold Freeze Temp. Down Keypad (-) 3. Release the Door Alarm Keypad, and wait 3 seconds. 4. The control will display PE to indicate the programming mode. 5. Entry is confirmed by pressing the Freezer Temp.Down Keypad once more. 6. The control will display the current Program Code. (printed on the serial plate) 7,8,9 are about how to change the code My problem is that nothing happens, and in step #4, I still have " PEO 000 " on the display. Any ideas of what I may be doing wrong? Thanks
I also have a MF12568AEW white Maytag with French doors. It had no water, ice or lights, but still kept cold. I got the HV board and followed the instructions. It kept rejecting the 1411 code that was supplied inside the door. A different code 0302 worked. It just took trying different numbers. The board has 4 plugs, I think each digit is for a specific function. The lights are back on, there is water and the ice maker auger is turning, I will just have to wait awhile for ice.

The door alarm keeps going off for no reason and the doors are securely closed. Why is this?
SOMETIMES THE DOOR MIGHT SEEM PROPERLY CLOSED BUT ITS NOT TRY RE ADJUSTING THEM AND SEE IF THAT WORKS ALSO THE DOOR CLOSED CONTACT CAN CAUSE THE BUZZER TO GO OFF FOR NO REASON.

The control panel seems to be stuck. The water dispenser and light button work fine. The door alarm button is on and digital temperature readings are fine. But can't change these settings. The ice button doesn't work, lock/unlock, vacation setting, etc. Everything is stuck in that mode.
Pull the power cord for 5 minute to reset the control board. if this control panel malfunction still exist after the reset, replace the control circuit board.
This is a typical control fault that should be corrected by pulling power for 5 minutes. if not, this reset will confirm major damaged to the circuit board.

my son left the freezer door ajar for several hours the other night ... one benefit was that water that had frozen on the floor of the freezer (ice cube trays sloshing out) melted enough to get the frozen slab out
however, the next morning the door WOULD NOT OPEN no matter how much brute force was applied.
I turned the freezer control to 1 thinking it would thaw enough (thinking it was ice on the slider bars) ... kept it at that level for 24 hours
Still will not open. Should I turn the whole thing off for several hours and try to force something to hold the seal open slightly to help warm up the freezer ?
k i would take say somthing hot or warm that you can melt the ice with (hot water in a contaner) and drag it aacross the ice

How do you remove the sliding freezer drawers?
1 Open drawer to the fully out position. 2 Remove upper and lower baskets. 3 Remove screws one in each rail marked on side of rail. 4 Lift the front of the drawer up to remove the drawer. 5 Set the drawer on a soft surface to prevent scratching the

ice dispenser door opens and closes ?
You need to replace the PCB located in the back of the refrigerator. Took me about 20 minutes after I got the part. Then you will have to program the code back into it. Costly but rather easy.
