The ice maker is bad and they have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Luckily, there is a replacement part that works in your machine, part number W10477228. The reason I say its bad is because it should have atleast ejected the ice that was made when you poured water in it if it were working properly. The only other thing it could be is that the temperature is not cold enough in the ice maker area, which is 10 degrees F or colder. this is a big job, unless you are good at welding take it to a tech.

You might have air in your system. Hold the dispense lever down for several second about every 10 minutes until you have the air purged.

The most likely cause is the solonoid controled one in two out watervalve. Even if the water dispenser is working, this would be the most likely cause. You can find this valve be following the water line into the refrigerator. The first place it connects is the valve.
