My brand new Maytag dishwasher will not open. I pressed the lock button. Lock light comes on. I pressed it again and lock light goes off but door will not open. Haven't even used it yet.
Get a hold of the company you bought it from. Should be under warranty.

I have a maytag dishwasher (model # dwu491oaax - not sure if the 4th lettr from end is a
Reset is by disconnecting the power to it. If it is hard wired into the electrical box, you have to shut of the breaker and then wait a minute and turn it back on. When you power it back, you should hear the pump come on for a minute as part of the diagnostic. If it does not come one, then you have to check the main control, the transformer, the control board.
