My dishwasher does not cut out when I open the
Hello,
This has been a common accurance with Asko dishwasher's since they went to this design around 1994 or so. If it won't stop when you open the door as you stated, here's a possible remedy you can try on your own. Make sure the unit is off first. ( this procedure is usually done by us Asko service guys by removing the door panel & control panel for better access as well as to visually inspect other component. but I'd rather keep it simple here ) Open the door and identify the small round shaped plastic item where the "latch strike plate" contact's slot in the top of the door. It will require applying a small amount of "vasaline" or "silicon lube" (**Do not use a WD-40 or any liquid type lubes that may cause a short circuit**) if you have any. Once you have applied the lube try to work it into the round "pin" ( simply put this is the little pin which actuates the microswitch in the door to comunicate to the control "GO" but it dry's up and sticks the switch "closed" ) so it moves freely up and down. You can apply the lube with a toothpick and then open & close the door several times, but it may indeed require taking the door panel off to access the entire assembly for a good lube. This should get it working properly for you again, or it may actually be a faulty door switch although when they fail it is typically in to "open" position therefore rendering the unit non functioning.
Let me know if you require further assistance. Thanks for coming to fixya, please take a moment to rate the help you received.
Good luck.
Macmarkus :)
Asko D5894 - remove drain hose from pump
It sounds like you've already made significant progress in attempting to replace the drain hose on your Asko D5894 dishwasher. Since you've removed the front plate, main electrical distribution box, and drain pump, it's possible that accessing the connection point between the hose and the drain pump requires additional steps.
Check for hidden screws or fasteners: Sometimes, there may be hidden screws or fasteners that secure the drain pump or its housing. Inspect the area carefully to ensure you haven't missed any screws that need to be removed before accessing the connection point.
Asko dishwasher d3232 no water flow on start just a hum.then the 2 lefthand program buttons flash where should I start
A humming noise with no water flow in an Asko dishwasher could indicate a problem with the water inlet valve. Here are some steps to try and resolve the issue:
- Check water supply: Make sure the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and there is enough water pressure.
- Clean the inlet screen: Check the inlet screen for any debris and clean it if necessary.
- Check water inlet valve: The water inlet valve may be clogged or damaged and preventing water from entering the dishwasher. Replace the valve if necessary.
- Check the pump: If the inlet valve is fine, the problem may be with the pump. Check the pump for any blockages or damage and replace if necessary.
- Check the control board: If the water inlet valve and pump are functioning properly, the issue may be with the control board. Check the connections and replace the board if necessary.
Asko D5457 Intermittently stops mid-way through cycle and resets itself. Ghost buttons beep and cycle changed by itself.
It sounds like your Asko D5457 dishwasher may be experiencing an issue with the control panel or the main circuit board. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check for any visible damage to the control panel or buttons. If the buttons or control panel are damaged, this could cause the dishwasher to malfunction.
- Check for any loose wiring or connections. Make sure that all of the wiring is properly connected and secure.
- Try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it and then plugging it back in.
- If the issue persists, you may want to try running a diagnostic test on the dishwasher. Consult the manufacturer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the control panel or main circuit board is faulty and will need to be replaced. It is recommended to contact a professional for assistance with repairing or replacing these parts.
Asko 1385 replacing front panels.
a product called "De-solv-it contractors solvent" its an orange oil based product works really well on lots of adhesive residues. WD-40 works pretty well too. You need to let them sit for a minute or two
