How to bypass Lid Switch Admiral Washer

The only way to bypass this switch is fist pill the plug, gain access to the switch from under the hood. put a jumper wire on the 2 wires on the switch. that will do it. I hope this helps you out.

Admiral washing machine

The seal has cracked and will need to be replaced. Part of it is in the drive block attached to the basket and is probably your failure. All you need to remove is the maytag tool and a strong arm.

Washing machine + burning smell

The load of rugs may have been too much for the device and there may have been considerable belt slippage causing the burnt rubber smell. Try another regular load and cross your fingers. And stay away from those outrageous loads!
