After a few minutes the screen just goes black. If
may be there is a problem with your power cable. It might not be as tight as it should be or maybe the VGA cable is not tightly screwed up. Please check those physical connections and if it is still goes away after 3 seconds, take notice if there is any message appears on your screen. If there is no message, try to use another power cable or another VGA (blue) cable to it. If still did not work, try another CPU (Tower) if it will work. Otherwise, consult Hyundai for your Monitor repair and diagnostics....

coolvegasmik, Sorry, to hear that your "cold cathode-fluorescent-lamp-back-lit-lcd-monitor" is not working. Did you hold and point a bright flashlight 1 inch from the lcd panel when it went to "black-screen"??? Did you see any icons on the "black-screen"?? Software NOT a fix for this "black screen of death" problem. You or electronics technician will need to open L91A and look for bad capacitors or bad soldering on the power supply printed circuit board. If unit is 4 to 6yrs old, just trade-in for new wide screen unit. See video clips of swollen bad capacitors at YOUTUBE when you search "lcd monitor repair". All lcd monitors (99%) use same basic design and principle of operation. Sometimes ccfl back-lit lcd monitors can be repaired for less than $6 in parts and monitor will work for 1 to 3 more years. 12fixlouie

The problem could be a faulty CCFL lamp. If you try to fix it yourself you most likely void your warranty.
The LCD monitor should still be in the warranry period. Take it back to your supplier to have it repaired or replaced.
Flashes on then goes black
The green light only lets you know there is a valid video signal reaching the monitor. If the green light was not "on" your problems would possibly be within the pc itself. Something is not holding the circuit for the backlight "on" thus going black. Suggestions are:
1. Take it to get it repaired (if not under warranty) Hyundai carries a 3 yr warranty on this monitor. Website provided.
2. Buy a new monitor

Half a monitor
This could be a backlight problem- Dont know about a fix though
I guess some one may repair them[new tube[s]]
I guess what ever the labour plus parts will be well on the way to a new one.
How old is it by the way - any warranty left?
Images on monitor are enlongated
Is the resolution set to the monitor's native resolution? Your video card must support the monitor's true resolution, this is particularly important with wide-screen LCD monitors.
