LG RC797T Region Unlocking Codes

Purchased two of these VCR/DVD recorders (for the ATSC-digital tuner) in March 2007 at Best Buy. They play PAL/region 0 out of the box. To enable region-free playback I used the CD-ROM previously made for my LG LST-3510A. Visit this link for the files to burn your disc:

http://aiwaownersnetwork.tripod.com/pages/lg/5000_series_firmware.html

Next:
--Power on the player and load the CD-ROM
--In a few moments a text box appears displaying current DVD region and a second line to change DVD region
--Press the number you wish (most likely "0") on the remote control
--Press "Enter" on the remote control
--In a few seconds the player will eject the disc. Remove the CD-ROM from the tray and power off

Upon powering on the player my region 2 and 4 DVD's play fine but Macrovision still remains.

OR

Click the HOME button on the remote with the unit in 480i resolution
Click the setup page
Click Start
Click TV Aspect
highlight the 16x9 wide aspect ratio
enter on remote control this coded sequence:
1397139

Edit specific "Options"

Option 2: 35 (enables Divx/Xvid playback)
Option 4: ff (enables Vcd and SVCD playback)
Option 5: ff (enables region free playback (region 0) DVD playback)
Option 6: ce (enables Insignia brand startup logo on boot)
Option 6: c0 (enables LG brand startup logo on boot)

My denon3910 won't recognize sacd

Apparently the unit is no longer capable of reading the SACD track so it defaults to the standard cd one . You need to clean the laser head : dismantle the player to access the  head; use a can of compressed air to blow away all the dust from inside it - be especially thorough with the space between the lens and the sensor; wipe the lens with a soft q-tip; make sure the mechanism is clean and oil it.

I just doesn't load/read CD's.

I had the same problems with my four year Denon DVD-3910 and the only solution to it was to replace the laser unit with a new one.

There are some repair service on EBay that offer new laser units for only about 50 € and are also willing to change the laser unit for an extra charge of just 30 €.

After this replacement your Denon DVD-3910 will work fine again.

Denon 3910 won't load some dvds/cds and vibrates while trying.."disc error"!

I have the Denon 2900 (about 4 years of use) and until recently, suffered from the same (growing) problem. CD's were very difficult to start/read. I recently found advice which I tried and was succesful with. It was manually cleaning the laserlens. I took away the outer housing by unscrewing all off the on top (6), side (4) and the back (2) bolts. After that I took out the top plate of the laserunit which took two very little screws taking out. Now you are looking at the cd-tray with the lens. Take a very soft and clean cloth and moisten it a little bit with clean water (be very carefull with the moistening, don't allow any waterdrop to come out of the cloth into the laserlens while cleaning! Carefully clean the lens and dry it with a dry part of the same cloth. Replace the top plate and the outer housing and the player will recognize the discs like it's new again. Good luck! Player does not recognize or play CDs

Thats how some manufacturers sell there replacement parts as they come into the country assembled. it cost let to import but more for us. i once needed a spindle motor for a unit, no replacement except the manufacturer part. Had to buy entire laser assy and thats what they bare selling you too. If you already tryed to manualy clean the lens, look on the side of the laser pick-up. it might be made by sony or a popular manufacturer go by the number printed on the label on the side or bottom of the laser assy unit itself. Good Luck

No picture output

Have there been any changes to the systems configuration? Has there been an electrical outage or lightning strike in your area? If the answer to these are no then check the video connection to the tv ensuring both ends are secure in their ports.Ensure the tv is on the right input source for the type you are using. I know this may all seem trivial but sometimes the obvious is the easiest solution. I am assuming you have audio but no video. If you are still unable to make a picture on that tv try another one to isolate the fac t that it is the dvd player itself that is faulty.

Denon X6700h has no power at all.

If there is a fuse, it will be on the power board, easy to spot, a glass cased fuse, or a small white ceramic fuse. Normally though, a 125,000 volts wrecks everything connected to power. https://www.google.com/search?q=Denon+X6700h+has+no+power ..

Denon 687 ,,,,red light is on then I push the power button and it blinks green and their stays green but no display at all nothing else lights up

Considering you have a standby light we know the hot side of the power board is working, next step is test the power on signal coming from the main board, it should be marked on the legend on the power board what pin is power on, will be marked PO_ ON PWR or something like that, you need at least 3 vdc there when you turn the set on, if it's missing replace the main board, if you see voltage replace the power board, easy simple fix with only one measurement, verses guessing what board is bad. Sorry you didn't get any other useful help, there are some posters on here giving non helpful generic help anyone would know to try

Completely clueless on setting up Denon 1709 AVR

Yes, you can still use the speakers even if they are not currently connected to a TV. To connect the speakers to your computer, you will need an audio cable with 3.5mm plugs on both ends. One end will plug into the headphone jack on your computer, and the other end will plug into the input on the speakers. Some speakers may also have RCA input, in which case you will need an RCA-to-3.5mm audio cable. If you have a newer computer with only a digital output (such as a USB-C port), you may need to use an audio interface or a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to convert the digital signal to analog so you can plug it into your speakers. Once the speakers are connected to your computer, you can adjust the volume using the volume controls on your computer or the speakers themselves. It's important to note that your TV will not be able to use the speakers unless they are connected to it.
