Can the Optoma EP739 be

Mine has been in place for about three years. Because the ceiling was open I was able to create a connection for a tripod head on the ceiling and then using a STRONG tripod head and some small bolts (longer than the originals) I mounted an external base and with the tripod head fitting dttached to the projector it just became a matter of running the various connector cables from the sources I use that require projection to my wall.

EP739 projector has been overheating the last 6 months.

Its getting old...and generating more heat...
There are fans inside the projector that **** in ambient
air and blow it across the parts...A quick fix might be
to lower the room temperatrue a few degrees...or
you could get a small fan, place it along side the projector
and have it blow additional air into the projector...

The projector is running at borderline temperature...

Also, make sure it is on a flat hard surface...and not
resting on a cloth or towel or rug...there isn't much space
between the bottom of the projector...to **** air in...and it
needs all that space...

You may want to make sure the AC line voltage is 110 -120 VAC
even a slight drop in this voltage will cause the projector to run
less efficient which means running hotter...

Optoma ep739 won't power up

The lamp cover has a disconnect that won't allow power while the cover is off. Sometimes the piece of metal gets bent out of place.
Try removing the cover for the lamp, and bending the little piece of metal forward.

It worked for me!!!!

My Optoma EP739 --about 2

it will be 1 of 2 things, If the unit has more than 1 input jack, it could be the input source is set to the wrong port, see if that is something you can change.

if that does not work, you have a problem with the main board on the unit.

also, check your vga cable to make sure none of the pins are bent, and also if your computer is a notebook, make sure that the vga port is active for the projector.

Power will not come on.tried many power chords

are there any leds on? if not, replace the power supply. if there are, such as one blinking red, could be the colorwheel, ballast, or the lamp has expired.
