The easiest way to check this problem out is take your monitor over to someone who has a computer or if you have an extra computer at home hook the monitor up to see if it stops doing this. Then you will know if it is not the monitor. Then you can focus on the video card going bad or is bad. Change the card with a new one, problem is solved. Check the cables connections make sure they are not loose as well. Restart you computer also discharge it by pushing in the power button in while the computer is unplugged from the wall. John
I no longer have power to my monitor; is there a
You can measure the adapter output with a voltmeter. The output should match the voltage marked on the adapter. This model uses a 12-volt adapter.
If the adapter doesn't have any output, it may be because the wire has broken inside the cable near the plug from flexing. It's possible to repair this by soldering on a new plug. Sometimes it's tough finding the right plug, though; some brands of equipment use oddball sizes.
You can also purchase replacement adapters. Several sources came up after a search for "scanport n9 adapter".
Here's one on eBay. You'll be able to find what you need.

moneyshaker, Maybe your screen (LCD panel) is not blank, just BLACK!!! First thing to do is the flashlight test! With monitor connected to a KNOWN GOOD fully booted pc with WIN-desktop showing, reconnect N9 lcd to pc. Then and only then turn on N9 lcd. Note what you see or don't see!! If screen flashes on for 1 sec and goes to BLACK, then shine a bright flashlight 1" form screen at different angles and note if you see or don't see the desktop. This is only a test to check the condition of the unit's power supply and or INVERTER circuit. If you can still see the desktop even though the screen appears BLACK, then the "switch-mode-power-supply" is only partly bad. You did not state age of your unit? Most likely your problem is that the SMPS is detecting a fault in the INVERTER circuit that provides 800 to 1200 volts to light up the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes" that are hung on the rear of the Clear Glass LCD panel and in front of a mirrored reflective surface. GEE wiz If I could take these long, straight, CCFT's and turn them into coils and mate them with an electronic ballast circuit called a CONVERTER circuit (ac to ac) and put them into an oversize light bulb screw-in base I could make millions.... Oh ****, That's already been done!!!! Oh! so that's how those new CFL lamps work. I suspect that your INVERTER (dc to ac) has almost bit the dirt. It will need to be looked at by a tech type person or you could visit Youtube and chcek for video clips that deal with monitor disassembly and or repair of the 2 most common LCD monitor failures. Look under "swollen electrolytic filter capacitors" and BAD capacitors, and Poor soldering and /or poor factory oven REFLOW SOLDERING and or Thermally intermittant soldering connections on printed circuit boards. This is only a guess as to what plagues you monitor. Please rate this response on fixya if it was of any help at all. im'louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @aol .com
N9 LCD MONITOR
Hi
Check if there is power coming from the wall socket.
If the wall socket is functional, then try with another power cable.
If this also doesnt work, then the monitor has to be serviced.
H21 LCD Monitor -No display
With that many boards, it probably has a separate ballast (inverter) to run the lamps.
In the power supply section, I would look for bulging electrolytics and bad connections.
In the ballast I would suspect a shorted output transistor, a bad output transformer, a bulging capacitor or bad connections.

Hello Sbeban hi!, Most likely you have power supply problems. to fix this you need to replace the power supply board. or get professional help, by bringing it for repairs on your dealer.
Now to do it yourself, you need a replacement PS board. Now finding on is difficult. I cannot help you here. search ebay, call your computer shop or dealer. then when you get the refurbish board. disassemble it and replace the old PS board with the new one.

Gem GC150ATA No audio, Icon by clock
Did you check your hardware drivers to see if indeed the Audio Drivers have been installed? Right-click your MY COMPUTER icon, then select PROPERTIES from the menu. When the window pops up, select the HARDWARE tab, then DEVICE MANAGER. See if your audio is installed or if there are yellow exclamation marks under SOUND, VIDEO, GAME CONTROLLERS or under UNKNOWN DEVICES (i could be wrong on that title, but it will be close!!)
