There can be many reasons why your dryer will not start or turn...

Hi just read your posting.Now select a hot fill on a wash cycle with no clothes in the machine and add to the water 2 cups of automatic dish-washing power.Let it wash for 5 minutes and then turn the machine off and leave over night.In the morning turn it back on a wash cycle and let it run all the way throe.This should get rid of the lint in your machine.Please reply on how you got on and for further help.Looking forward to your reply.

The fault code 118 as what the lights indicated is not in the list of possible code the machine can display. The usual cause of issues like yours is a blown fuse in the motor controller module. All you can do is raise the console up to access and check the motor controller module for such and failure. Replace the motor controller module if any sign of failure is found.

Cold water inlet valve failure is a common fault with F&P machines.
Your best course is the call a tech, so that the self diagnosis codes can be entered into the machine. This will confirm the fault, and the work will be covered by a warranty, which will protect you against causing other problems.
Water inlet replacement is not a big job and shouldn't take long to diagnose and fix.
Probably not what you hoped to hear, but your best bet for the long life of the machine.

What you describe is normal for the power on cycle. If if will not work after this, then you have a problem. If it will not turn on by pressing the power button, try one of the wash type buttons. If it responds to the power button or the wash type buttons and beeps with the start/pause button and the lid is closed, then the lid switch is faulty, if it does not beep and the lid is closed, then the button is faulty and can be replaced on it's own by anyone with some soldering ability.

It sounds like the lid lock is either stuck or broken,You will need to lift the top hob by removing the two plastic lugs where the lid rests & removeing the screws it will then lift up and you will be able to remove the lock to inspect it,Also you can remove the lid in the up position by pulling vertically to make it a bit easier,Hope this helps Cheers.

Hi just read your posting,Now, does the machine show an ERROR CODE and beeps?If it does show an error code it will be in a number in your LCD DISPLAY if you have that model or a series of lights will light up.Now these lights will be in a row of 8 lights.Starting from the left to the right which ones are lit when the machine beeps?Is it the 2nd and 4th or the 1st and 5th ---etc---?Please reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you.
