If draining into laundry tub, chances are water is siphoned back into washer due to laundry tub slow drain.
Very long drain hoses( such as 10+ feet) will also cause this.

Received a code 37 - washer won't spin and drain

Something is either blocking your water pump, or the pump itself is faulty.

Seems to be clogged and will not drain

Hi,

Your strainer's likely plugged with the "sand". Locate your dtrainer, situated between the drum and pump, and connected to the drum with a rubber hose. Clean and reinstall it. Get all of the sand out, and remove any that you can see laying in the pump cavity, etc. Run an empty load to flush the machine. This may have to also be done a second time if there is a lot of residue.

Wont drain looked in pump area does nto appear to

After taking all apart and putting back together 3 times looking for some type of clog in the pump area I decided to take the hose off that is located underneath the washer. There I found a penny!

All better! I love my fisher paykel! I personally fixed it.....saved myself $95.00 per half hour and parts. Since i am a woman lots of times a repairman would have said I needed a new pump!

At the spin cycle the

I've got a F + P washer and had the same problem. It usually occurs when there's very little in the tub, like you described, just a blanket. The balance on the machine is very fussy and will trip at the slightest sense of an overload on one side or another. With the lid open, grasp the tub on either side and move it side to side while lifting ( don't be afraid to use a little bit of force). This will rebalance the tub and it should advance to the spin cycle. If it doesn't work the first time, it make take a few attempts. Best of luck and please post back with any other questions.

Washer won't drain after wash cycle

It may be a blocked pump under the machine.
I removed debris that got clogged there when the machine drains.
1) unplug machine
2) tilt machine back
3) locate pump under front right corner
4) remove pump by pushing and twisting it counter clockwise - note the locking latch needs to be lifted at same time
5) look for debris blocking the drainage tubes.

CIRCUIT BOARD GONE OUT

Do not be unhappy with your machine. Believe me, many brands that cost much more than the Fisher & Paykel have circut boards go out on them as well. First of all you machine is still in warranty if it is only one and a half years old since the machine has a two year warranty. Other manufacturers only have one year even if they cost much more to purchase. Be thankful that you are entitled to a repair at NO Charge! I have sold appliances for 34 years and sell multible brand names. I can assure you that based on the lack of quality manufacturers have been delivering to the public over the last ten years you have made the best desicion when you purchased your Fisher & Paykel. Most washers have between 350 and 400 parts in them to create a potential of failure. the Fisher & Paykel has only around 70 parts total. We have sold them for over ten years and it is the best product in our store bar none! Remember, you are still in warranty so your repair will cost you nothing!

When washer is filling it makes a load screeching noise

Hi, welcome...
Your water pump is going bad most likely. This is easy to diagnose and also easy to repair. Under the control panel on top is a "tech sheet" that explains how to put the washer in "test mode". Set the machine in test mode and run the water pump independently and you will probably hear this same "schreeching" sound. The water pump runs at the begining of the wash cycle to recirculate the water and mix the detergent with the incoming fresh water. You also can "check" this by using the "PERMA PRESS" cycle. The perma-press does not use the recirculation feature, so the schreeching noise will be delayed to the first rinse cycle if the pump is bad.
The part number is 420325P and you can get them from http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net
