Hi,Here's the thing...if the modem is unplugged, and you press the "Reset" button, or any button, nothing will happen because the modem is UNPLUGGED. When you plug it in again, there is usually a few minutes or so during which time the lights will blink. Eventually, when the DSL connection is established, the blinking should decrease. But, there will always be some blinking going on to indicate that data is being transmitted. If the "Ethernet" light is blinking, then a computer that is plugged into the router is transmitting/receiving data. If the "Wireless" light is blinking, then a computer that using a wireless connection to the router is transmitting/receiving data.If a red light blinks, then that usually means the DSL connection has been broken. When that happens, for whatever reason, the modem will automatically begin its initialization routine and will continue to do so until connection has been established. During that time, LEAVE IT ALONE. If you uplug the device, or if you press ANY button while the device is attempting to correct itself, you can cause permanent damage.So, you are correct. It's not a problem. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "If it's not broken, then don't fix it." There's a lot of truth to that.I hope this helps.Randy

mines in the trash, they keep going bad the shorting out an causing the modem to go dead. so bought my own (got 2 for backup) ARRIS SB6183. no battery is bliss. or did you mean at garage sale you find a ROHS batt laying on table (that I threw out, LOL) and wonder what it is.? its a battery and most times no good. or did you mean you have a modem the battery is dead and wont to buy a new one, and ebay is off line today, that it? most of these are for VOIP, telephone, use with lost of AC power. I cut all landline here, and that. so no batteries there. here. but they are only found on ebay. for sure not in TARGET or Bestbuy. here go to ebay then in the search box, type your model model number eg: ARRIS TG1682G then at the end type battery.

From a quick look at the specifications, it does not appear that that model offers built in WiFi; thus it would not have a WPS button. In addition, I would caution you against using/enabling WPS on any device, as that protocol has been compromised. As for solution and recommendations - Obtain a different model from your service provider with the features you require, or obtain an off the shelf WiFi-capable router from an electronics department. This modem would be able to connect to only a single device without the addition of a router; perhaps that fills your needs but I suspect you will want more than that. If you choose to obtain a router, you will still likely not have a WPS button - because of the security concerns most if not all of them are off the market. No worries though, many manufacturers offer very simple setup alternatives to WPS - sans the known security risk. Hope that helps you out!

Have you checked the manual to see if it needs to charge? If so, maybe a day and it should go out. Or search the model No for that info.

wow a very very hard to understand question there(but par) is this 3482 the only thing you have there? (LAN WISE) it is a modem,/router box this thing,+wifi it setup page told in the free manual is http://192.168.0.1 wow does the printer connect, (ethernet or wifi)????? The setup page is all you need. to set the printer on a fixed IP wired is best. wifi is more tedious ask, if true. wifi. fixed means MAC is IP frozen by you so if power is lost to ALL the printer still works later( power AC restored) https://www.cleancss.com/user-manuals/UID/TG3482ER3 see trusted MAC to, page. see finding IP or MAC pages the reserve it there, fixed. the save that and last run and load he printer makers application software and it finds the printer easy if only one printer there. no printer told so can NOT wax smarter or clearer.
