Yamaha RX-V2600 START UPGRADER 2600 Stuck in this mode

The whole service manual is online at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1183691/Yamaha-Rx-V2600.html?page=16#manual I left it on the page dealing with firmware. So you can update the firmware with a computer and the right cable. Be advised though it might give you issues if the CMOS is corrupted, Read the whole service guide.

HTMI errors on the following devices

You have to use Component Video on this unit. HDMI will not "Handshake" and pass thru. This was HDMI's first version "1.1a" and there is no fix. Use your receiver to switch audio via Coaxial or optical then use HDMI directly from BLURAY etc to your TV. The downside to this is how many HDMI inputs your TV has. It's an awesome receiver! Don't blame Yamaha!!! This issue is directly attributable to "HDMI" and their race to shelves before truly field testing the product. The current version of HDMI is 1.3b and soon to be 1.4 which includes ethernet capabilities.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news! If you would like an "in depth" look into the world of HDMI issues, Google HDMI problems or HDMI forums, and you can read for hours. Hope this helps

Unit cuts off. I turn it back on and it turns

Sounds like a speaker wire is shorting out, check there are no breaks and/or positive and negative terminals on the amp and speakers are the right way around

Yamaha RX-V2600 completely dead ... any ideas

If it is plugged in to a working outlet, and the AC cord is not broken, there is a problem in the power supply of the receiver. This provides all of the DC voltages that make all functions work. If it is completely dead, the display, the lights, the audio, (everything) is not working; and it is not likely there are separate problems in all of these areas at the same time.

I want to run from my rxv2600 to a eq to an external amp to a pair speakers? yamaha online said run out of L/Rfront preamp to eq but i get no sound? Help plz am i missing something?

Must be connected to an audio OUTPUT. There are probably preamp inputs and outputs. Sounds a little strange, but signal (sound) must travel OUT of the Yamaha, IN to the EQ to be processed, OUT of the EQ, IN to the external amp to make it big enough to drive speakers, and OUT of the amp to the speakers.

HDMI Error/HDCP Error

Hi, Try replacing the HDMI cable. My Guess is that you have a bad cable connection or connector. If there is excessive heat on cable connectors this could be bad. Cooling fan or other heat source Good luck.

Connect apple tv

I did a quick search for the specs on that receiver but did not come up with an easy answer. AS with all devices you connect and Apple TV to, it MUST support AT LEAST 720P minimum and have an HDMI port.

Changed to 6 olms and

HelloThe audio output section of your amp has damaged. It has shorted output components, and that is why the reinserted fuse blow up as soon as you switch it ON aftere replaceing it. A through check must be done with your amp. It is really a very skilled work, and done with caution. Whout any knolege in servicing hi-watt amps, one cannot set it right. Do not repalce any more fuse as it will damage more components. I advice you to get this device repaired by any well experienced service technician, or by the authorised service center for Yamaha at your town. All the output comonents may need repalcement. The set has damaged by overload created by low Oms speakers connected with. OK.

Yamaha RX-V2600 I can not access my receiver's on

Perform a master reset :
Here's How -->Set the master switch to OFF. Press and hold the Straight (Effect) button behind the front panel, then turn the master switch to ON. This takes you to the advanced Setup Mode. Use the program selector knob to get to User Preset, switch this to RESET. Turn the unit off via the master switch. Next time you power the unit on, all the factory settings should be restored with the exception of system memory and auto setup settings.

How do I hook my PS3 gaming system into my Yamaha

Use HDMI - I don't understand what you mean by "fire code". HDMI uses less cable involvement, where as component uses five cable to produce video - no audio. HDMI accommodates the audio signal as well. However, if you want 1080i, this will only work for component - you need 1080p for HDMI.

How to perform a master reset

Unhook all HDMI connections unplug the yamaha and your tv from the wall outlet then try again. Most cases a copy protection kicked in or the hdmi had a error on the port, Worse case is hdmi controller board failure in ether the TV or the yamaha.

I have a yamaha RX-V 2500 receiver that won't turn

Have you checked the speaker connections as requested? How about disconnecting all speakers and seeing what happens? If it works, you have a shorted speaker or wire.
