Yamaha RX-V2600 Receiver Questions & Answers
Yamaha RX-V2600 I can not access my receiver's on
Perform a master reset :
Here's How -->Set the master switch to OFF. Press and
hold the Straight (Effect) button behind the front panel, then turn the
master switch to ON. This takes you to the advanced Setup Mode. Use the
program selector knob to get to User Preset, switch this to RESET. Turn
the unit off via the master switch. Next time you power the unit on, all
the factory settings should be restored with the exception of system
memory and auto setup settings.
HTMI errors on the following devices
You have to use Component Video on this unit. HDMI will not "Handshake" and pass thru. This was HDMI's first version "1.1a" and there is no fix. Use your receiver to switch audio via Coaxial or optical then use HDMI directly from BLURAY etc to your TV. The downside to this is how many HDMI inputs your TV has. It's an awesome receiver! Don't blame Yamaha!!! This issue is directly attributable to "HDMI" and their race to shelves before truly field testing the product. The current version of HDMI is 1.3b and soon to be 1.4 which includes ethernet capabilities.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news! If you would like an "in depth" look into the world of HDMI issues, Google HDMI problems or HDMI forums, and you can read for hours. Hope this helps
Yamaha RX-V2600 completely dead ... any ideas
If it is plugged in to a working outlet, and the AC cord is not broken, there is a problem in the power supply of the receiver. This provides all of the DC voltages that make all functions work. If it is completely dead, the display, the lights, the audio, (everything) is not working; and it is not likely there are separate problems in all of these areas at the same time.
HDMI Error/HDCP Error
Hi, Try replacing the HDMI cable. My Guess is that you have a bad cable connection or connector. If there is excessive heat on cable connectors this could be bad. Cooling fan or other heat source
Good luck.
Connect apple tv
I did a quick search for the specs on that receiver but did not come up with an easy answer. AS with all devices you connect and Apple TV to, it MUST support AT LEAST 720P minimum and have an HDMI port.
No standby or power
I have a Phillips wacs streamline . Screen has frozen on " starting up please wait" any advice to get working welcome :-)
