E4 means that the dishwasher has a problem with discharging water. Check that the discharge tube is not bent and the siphon is not blocked and the filters are not blocked. Depending on how you stored the dishwasher, check for evidence of rodents or insects building nests in the unit.
The manual for the HD97 is available from Hoover at http://service.hoover.co.uk/manuals/Manuals.aspx?Section=3 . Enter the model number and the link will come up. The manual for the free-standing version does not seem to be available separately.
You will probably find that this is because there is not enough water pressure going through the jets.
1. Take off the top rotery arm by unscrewing the nut and then it can be released from the basket by giving a twist and pushing backwards. once off check that all the jets are clear and that the small plastic washer is OK re assemble and ensure that is spins freely.
2. if this does not help then the problem may be with the recirculating pump underneath. Replace the capacitor that is attached to it. This drastically improved my dishwasher and now works better than when it was new.
3. if this does not work then you are on your own as I have no orther suggestions.
Drain pump probably not working. Put machine on cycle 7 and it should turn on the drain pump straight away. you can hear this near the bottom of the machine. if it is silent hten the pump probably needs replacing. I repaired mine be removing it and then dismantle the magnet from the tube then give it a good clean out.
A metal bad with a spring on each end is used to couner balance the door. Take off the curved plastic moulding at the front bottom 2 screws at front and 2 underneath.
Then remove as many screws as you can that secures the left hand casing you just need to get to left hand side near the bottom.
Once there you can check if both springs are secure it is probable that one of these has become dislodged you can get some pliers and bend the hooks better so that it will not happen again.
The process for removing the lower front panel on a Hoover HED6612 dishwasher may vary depending on the specific model and year of your dishwasher. However, the following steps may be useful as a general guide:
Unplug the dishwasher from the power source and turn off the water supply to the dishwasher.
Locate the clips or screws that hold the lower front panel in place. These are typically located at the bottom of the panel and may be hidden by a small cover.
Use a screwdriver or other appropriate tool to remove the clips or screws.
Gently pull the panel away from the dishwasher, making sure not to damage any wiring or connections.
Once the panel is removed, you will have access to the internal components of the dishwasher, such as the pump, motor, and water inlet valve.
To reattach the panel, simply align it with the dishwasher and secure it in place with the clips or screws.
It's important to consult the manual for the specific steps and precautions before performing any maintenance or repairs on your dishwasher.
You posted to the category 'Dishwashers', but this looks like it is an Australian Hoover carpet cleaner?
If both lights are on and blinking than they are indicating a jam with the brush roll of your SmartWash.
