Hello, When your TV changing different channels it mean your TV main broad is defected. You needed to replace another main broad.

It sounds like a display panel fault. Contact any service technician.

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured there are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

the computer and tv both should recognize that the hdmi is connected, if Its an add on card then try to uninstall, then reinstall drivers for it. I know windows 7 and I beleive vista automatically cofigures the display, on XP you may have to go into the display settings and click on Identify, then select the display to use.I dont know about Mac or linux, But the last linux software I ran did just fine picking up the HDMI signal.

Please try to play a dvd movie or any recorded TV show first to determine if the problem is on the TV or on the TV signal/cable reception..

The RCA component cable set u are using have problems, damage the Audio connections input RCA AV connections RED WHITE cable probably have shorted out.Go to Radio Shack buy new set of RCA component cable for the replacement.

Tv turn on now have a picture flashes only a few sec. than dies have sound left only.Yes,than the tv dose have dead long LCD inverter backlight board.Should go on the website Shopjimmy.com to buy the refurbish LCD inverter board for the replacement.

I have found that Macwynn is now producing the ASTAR LTV-32ASB model tv under there brand but cant find anything out on them
