Not to sure about the AC outlet problem but I have a Denon receiver and I have had the No sound problem with mine as well I've found it was the headphone jack you can get a headphone cable and spray it lightly with WD-40 then pull it in and out of the headphone jack a few times and you might have to leave it plugged in for about an hour if you can't get it to work another tip that might help is getting an air duster can and blowing out the dust I've found one or another to be very helpful because mine does this when it sets for awhile with no use Hope this helps out
