The front of your computer is the Front PanelThe area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the Main wires go to from the Front Panel; is the Front Panel headerhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/ABIT-Computer-IC7-Socket-478-Intel-Motherboard-w-Pentium-4-3-0-GHz-CPU-/171034074235?pt=Motherboards&hash=item27d26cdc7bMotherboard installed in computer case, the Front Panel header is on the Bottom/Right corner; and is White it color. Two rows of contact pins.(I like the Zoom In feature. Just set your mouse cursor in the middle of the photo to activate it, and then move your mouse cursor around)Looking at the two rows of pins, you will see there are some missing in the middle.Essentially can be said as having pins on the Left, and pins on the Right. It is my belief that the pins on the Left side, are what you want.Number the pins across the Top rowLet's start at the Left side. Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8.Now number the pins on the Bottom row, Left side.Look like there may be four pins, so number from the Left,Pins 1, 3, 5, and 7.It is my belief that;Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED lightPin 2 being for the Positive ( + ) wirePins 6 and 8 for the Power On switchPins 1 and 3 for the HarDDrive activity LED light. (HDD LED)Pin 1 for the Positive ( + ) wirePins 5 and 7 for a Reset switchI think the pins on the Top row/Right side, may be for a speaker.A lot of times though, these pins are not even used. One pin may have been a 5 Volt test area for the factory.Other pins may be for technology that isn't used today, or used readily.Such as Infrared Remote, and so on.(Huh! Always thought Infrared was spelled Infared.Good Ol' spellcheck)I would SUGGEST, using a 2-wire LED to check my theory. For additional questions please post in a Comment, or Reply; at end of solution.Regards, joecoolvette

Computer stays on but display will not stay on

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electical extensions even something as small as an electrical fan and its lead can cause this problem or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs all electrical power and data to continue through every working device and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket

if you remove your graphics card restart your computer reinstall it should activate found new hardware wizard

hope this helps you

Have an Abit IC7 motherboard in a system given to

1) The bracket is a simple push fit one - it just pops in and locks in there when pushed.
2) Simple test (assuming that the processor , video card and the memory have been tested in another motherboard and are good): remove all the disks and try to start it up into the BIOS - if you can't then the problem is in the motherboard. As a last hope reset the BIOS and remove the battery for one hour. If it doesn't starts even after that then the board is dead.
The DVD burner will power up and seek even if it's not connected to anything else - all that it says is that the unit is working normally.

I would suggest simply resetting your board either with the jumper or by pulling the battery.

http://www.nodevice.com/driver/IC7/get40801.html

downloadthem onto a location; if the driver is in a zip format, unzip it,if itzin .exe form, just run it; if done manuallyit'll ask for the correct driver and location; relocate the path and a.inf file (wat it'll ask for)....goto the device manager n verify, ifinstalled properly..!!
also download n install "k-lite mega codec pack"....

ifnot fixed try using a standby pci snd card (in such case it'll b aconfirmed case of ur system board is likely to b defective)..

Unable to get ethernet controller drivers

Go to the Toshiba web site support page. Haven't personally been there but I assume you should reply to a few questions about your equipment model, serial number, etc, before it leads you to the download page. Once found, download the driver, save to your disk for a possible future reoccurrance, and run the install.
Good luck!
