M-Audio StudioPhile DX4 4'' Woofer
The "voice coil" inside the woofer must be rubbing against the "yolk" plate. Meaning = it is mechanically blown(damaged) to a point but electrically intact.
My sugesstion is to take out the damaged woofer and "google" for a mew woofer with the correct impendance and size and mounting holes. If you dont know thw impendance, then you should go with at least 8 ohms. More ohms = less risk of overloading the amp. whick can cause a fire!
Good Luck!!

Stopped working
Sorry I don't have a solution, but the speakers have done the same with us. Power comes on, some sound like the wire shorting out, but otherwise no sound. Tried different connection wires, different computers (mac and pc) but no go on any of them. So, I also don't think it has anything to do with you deleting some files.

Bass Guitar Won't Register
The mics I have seen don't have a filter... but a lot of mixers do have a 100Hz mic input filter. Check the other equipment that you are using also.
Audio bx5a tweeter
Tweeter just may need to be replaced. Is all the sound coming only from the woofer?
