How do you set the tax functio on a T 1210
step 1: Turn the calculator on
step 2: type in the tax percentage; the digits
step 3: push <TAX SHIFT>
step 4: push <+TAX>
step 5: just see the display blinking "RATE TAX %" while showing your input rate
step 6: when blinking has stopped, push <CE>
Now you're done.
You can check by entering the number "100" and then push <+TAX> to see the inclusive amount and then pus <-TAX> to see the exclusive amount again.

Please change the Cartridge tape or its not properly fixed in front of printer head may be destocked. Please open the tape and fix it back again.

You can try removing the battery for 10 minutes and also replacing it with a new one.
There is not much repair that can be done. Your only choice will be to check whether it is an lcd problem or some internal wires may be broken.
Using a screw driver open the back panel and check for any damaged solder joints. Also check for any sign of battery leakage (greenish deposits).
