These Tv's (lower end chinese sets) have been comming in in record number, most have power supply issues. Look over the power board carefully. Look for expansion on the capacitors. And spots that may have run warmmer than normal.

If the TV goes off completely, then is usually a faulty power board.

If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.

Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

On LCD Pay particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem

On Plasma, test Sustain (Ysus/Zsus) / Buffer boards , cables to plasma, digital board and power board.

On Rear Projection : check lamp, lamp ballast, power board, and convergence.

On CRT TVs, check ballast , flyback transformer, CRT, Tuner, Convergence.

On an issue like this you almost have to suspect the microprocessor as being the culprit. Replacement, either by you or a repair facility would be cost prohibitive for just the loss of a sleep timer. If the unit is under warranty, just go through the mfg for repair.

if you contact hisense all they can say is "send email, send email. there is no support from them at all. this is what i have found. TURN THE TV OFF BY THE SET ITSELF NOT BY THE REMOTE, THEN UNPLUG THE TV AND LEAVE IT OFF FOR 30-40 MINUTES OR BETTER YET OVERNIGHT. THIS WILL RESET THE TV. HOPE THIS HELPS

I turn TV on chenal 116 (instead of 3 or 4) and dish network worked

If you can access the menu with the remote you have the lock can be turned off in the menu. Information on that can be found in the owners manual that can be viewed or downloaded by clicking here. If the menu cannot be accessed I am afraid the original remote will be needed. The remote can be purchased from the manufacturer by calling 1-678-318-9060 happy holiday good luck

are you using a dvd player when it happen?

maybe the settings in the dvd player of from the source of the video unnoticely turn to that set up.

Hello, you can buy an adapter on ebay for 12.95-24.95, I went to radio shack and bought a 12V ac/dc adapter for my Hisense 1504us and it works fine. Hope that helps, also I read above a radio shack universal remote should work on these tv's.
