Can anyone assist me in finding the Direct TV (Universal RF Remote) remote codes for the following Viore TV's? I tried several codes that I have seen online in various forums on 22", but have not had any success.
1 Viore 22'' Class LCD HDTV w/ Digital Tuner, LC22VH55
1 Viore 32'' Class LCD HDTV w/ Digital Tuner, LC32VH55
Contact service provider ( ie Directv.) to see if they have the code or a scanning method to get it to work.

And now television won't boot. Blue stand by light is on but no reponce to power button when pushed.
I had the same problem with my olevia 242-T11. I flashed it with the wrong firmware and the TV would not even turn on. The blue LED light would still light up and my PC would still recognize a connection when i hooked it up to the USB cable connected to the TV.
I was fortunate to download the appropriate software. The software is called MTK_DownLoad1.exe. I know this is the correct software to use for Olevia 242-T11 and Olevia 237T. I do not know if this will work with other models.
Here is the link to the MTK_DownLoad1.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/17475900...load1.zip.html
You will also need to install the USB to Serial driver before you are able to use the MTK Download Utility. The USB Driver is located at
http://rapidshare.com/files/17475900...river.zip.html
BE SURE ONLY TO UPDATE YOUR TV WITH THE CORRECT SOFTWARE OR YOU WILL BRICK IT. I was lucky enough to recover my TV and finally able to upgrade it to the correct firmware but my TV was non functional for about a week and this has been a huge headache and if i could go back in time i would definitely not do it so please ask yourself if its even worth it risking upgrading the firmware of a TV who parent company is reorganizing after declaring bankruptcy.
If you still want to do this, here are the firmwares for all the various Olevia models.

I hope this helps all the people who need to recover / unbrick their Olevia TV's. If the links are down or you need any help please ask for help in avsforums. My id is sammykismail on avsforums and i will try my best to help you.

My 42 inch olevia 242fhd-t11 tv just shut off and will not come back on.. The blue led light will not come on either... Also was having intermittent sound issues for the last couple of days prior to it not turning back on.
I just repaired this identical problem on the same model TV. You have a bad power supply (also known as an SMPS). The board is model FSP271-4F02, and is about $75. Unlike the main board for this TV, you can find the power board relatively easily. Try shopjimmy, for example. Replacing the board isn't too difficult if you have a reasonable mechanical ability, have some tools, and are careful.

After I reset my Olevia 542-B11 with "Factory Setting", the unit no longer performs channel scan. I can navigate to the "auto channel search" manu. But, neither the "air" nor "cable" option work, whether I press the "munu" button or the "enter" button. Under "cable", the option is fixed at "standard" (it has an orange frame. How can I reset the unit to get to search channels again?
unplug televison for about 1 minute.
Go into menu picture>mode> powerup> and switch to home mode

I have set my Olevia 42 HDTV to a wall mount... How do I remove the base?
I have an Olevia 42" TV. I was able to remove the base by removing 16 screws on the back side. They were arranged vertically in 4 sets of 4. The screws go through the back panel, through the base and attach (without nuts) directly into the inside of the TV. After removing the 16 screws the stand simply slides out.
I tried removing two screws underneath the base area. They were small screws and were a pain to remove. I thought I would try that first instead of removing 16 screws but that did nothing.
Good luck!

noticed blue light was not on. pressed power button nothing happened. unplugged then plugged back up only to see the blue power light appear then slowly fade away. i tried another outlet and the same thing happened.
Power supply module will be the first place to check, look for burnt parts, solder joints, bad caps, etc.
