Check your backlight inverter and CCFL bulbs. As the CCFL bulbs age this is a common problem. The bulbs are not cheap, however. They run nearly $15-$20 each for your size flatscreen. Replacing the bulbs is as easy as changing a light bulb, you just have to get to them as they are in the flat panel.

Hello Bernie - Using your remote, press the Menu button, move to the right to the Screen menu, On this menu go down and choose Aspect. Here you have four options, Full, 4:3, 16:9 and Panorama.

Depending on your source material one of these will give you the image you want for what you are watching.

If you're watching TV through a cable or satellite box then there will be similar settings in that set-top box that will also affect screen settings. Not knowing if you are using a STB or what kind I can't help you directly with that. If what I suggested doesn't help and you are using cable or satellite call your providers tech support to learn how to change those settings.

Pleasant viewing and thanks for asking Fix Ya.

I have a 37 inch Olevia tv and can't find a remote

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Network remote to control your Olevia TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Olevia tv; here some of the codes we currently have: 910, 506, 578, 580 and 564. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your Olevia TV until you find one that is compatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Either your data flat wire is disconnected or your data board is defective. If you open the back panel(unplug the unit first)observe the flat wire if it is firmly hooked up to the connectors,if it is your Data board is defective, replace it.Some models have their video/data processor with the main board,if this is the case with you then you have to replace the main board too.White screen means your back lighting is operating well and the sound means the tuner and amplifier is fine too.So concentrate on the Data board and it is found in between the tuner and the LCD screen.

I can not remove the stand..........to hang on

There should be a few philips type screws on the rear of the set at the bottom. There are either 2 or 4 large screws that hold it to the stand. Also, the instructions that come with this model describe how to convert it for wall mounting. Every one of these sets I work on has 4 screws that hold it to the stand and I have to use a long philips screwdriver to get them out before I can begin the repair. Better to have a magnetic tip on the screwdriver for easy removal. Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Good Luck, Russmann.
