It is not the reset to factory, it is the antenna or the antenna connection.

If the antenna signal is weak before of a lose contact, when re tuning you will get no channels.

If the Olevia does not detect an aerial connected , it won't let you scan for new channels.

Try disconnecting the TV power cord, to reset the set.

After re-connecting, test the TV using a good antenna connected, even an inexpensive one.

The TV will start tuning, if signal is weak not all channels will be recorded.

There may not be one for the Olevia since this was a short-lived, new brand. Manufacturers feel the need to reinvent the wheel with their infra-red remote systems and there are no standards for the coding used from one brand or even one model to another. In summary, there will never be a 'universal' remote unless some standard feature set is adopted by all makers; not a likely prospect and since we have no US manufacturers left, we have no leverage but are at the mercy of dozens of manufacturers.
If Olevia had been one of the many Funai-owned brands, you would have the option of trying a half-dozen different sets of codes. On the other hand, if it had been made by Funai, it probably would have failed by now and the remote would no longer be any concern.

I've encountered this same problem before with several brands of tv. Your TV remote programming instructions (and the Uverse instructions) should include an option to "search" for the code by doing all the steps you would do if you had a particular code, except that you hit the channel up button until the tv turns off. This means that the remote found the right code (whatever it may be). Then you hit the TV button to save the code, and voila.

you have a bad cap in the power board the can like devices will have a puffed up top and the value is on the side replace the bad ones or have it done and your good to go

Reboot the box to get new software,reconnected the box,not the tv u get a word bounce around said no signal right?

I would run a coax cable from the out to tv to the turner on the tv. That would give you the better picture quality then going through the inputs. What it on Channel 3

What type of remote control do you have?

The Name brand and model of the remote control will help me locate the code you need to program it with so it can work with your Tv..

If you have a dish network remote try code 506.

Make sure the tv is set to AIR for regular tv and CATV for cable or dish. Then try to find the autoprogamming option and let it completely scan all channels.

If you still do not get anything, then the tuner may be faulty and needs to be tested/replaced.

Could be the back plane power supply, and or the back plain lamps inside the screen. If these are okay, then it could be the main driver board for the screen, or the screen itself, or the power source for the screen and or driver board.
Your set will require shop service to determine the fault, and give you an estimate for service. I can tell you in advance that your set can be expensive to service.

If the screen is damaged then, is not worth fixing. The panel is more than what the TV is worth.

It can be the backlight inverter board is going out or the power supply that supplys the 24vdc to the inverter board is going out. I would look at the power supply first for bad capacitors,

eBay is the best place for stands, price-wise.

Some specialized sites like discount-merchant, PartStore or ShopJimmy may also have them, but they are more expensive.

If your part is not available on eBay don't give up!

Create and save a search - eBay has this incredible useful function which alerts you whenever an item with certain keywords in the title is listed. I use it myself and have been able to pull quite a few good deals just by showing a little patience.

If the coax RF OUTPUT cable of the direct TV BOX is set to channel 3, the the TV will have to be SET TO TV CH3.

Try Ebay? Can you see any bad fillter capacitors (tops will be bulging out)

take your factory remote and look for a aspect key on it
push it and it should change the size
it should be on 16.9 or full
and that should help you
