Olevia lcd tv will not turn on.

First you want to unplug the tv for a few hours to reset settings. Plug it back in and then switch the master power switch off and then on.
There is a master Power Switch next to the power cord receptacle, make sure that this switch is on the on position and the blue LED in the front is illuminated (Note: The switch in the rear of the television is in the on position when the line is depressed).
This should get your tv working again. Just needs a good powercycle.

TECH just worked on a tv I just tried it on.

Need reset to initial setup

Hi.

The TV is probably set on the analog tuner that is supposed to receive the on-the-air channels. You get no channels because there is no antenna, as you use cable TV from Brighthouse.

You will need to use the remote to tune back the TV on the cable receiver.

The easiest way to do so is turning foo and disconnecting TV and receiver box from power.
Connect back both.
With devices off check the cable box wire to the TV.
Turn on the receiver box first (ensure it is on).
Turn on your TV.

The TV should tune automatically on the cable.

If the TV does not tune, then you will need to browse for a source.

First ensure that the cable is well connected to the cable box, and that the box is on.

Use the source button to browse the inputs.

Source is button nr 8 on picture below:

The power blue light is

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board we’ll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the power board-the board where, the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other board-where all he inputs are going into. Also check for the Backlight Inverter Board if the sound is coming fine from the TV however as its shutting off so it should be either the power board or the main board. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components.
. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Blew fuse, replaced it,turned it on and fuse

There is something wrong inside that is causing the fuse to blow. The fuse is the first defense in protecting the rest of the TV. The internal voltage regulator could be bad which is causing the internal power adapter to send too much voltage and current to the rest of the tv. The fuse responds to current going through it than what it is rated for.

With that in mind be sure to not stick in a bigger fuse as it could cause the tv to work for a while until something else gets damaged or the tv smokes.

U-verse remote code for a Vizio HDTV

1343 is the closest one I've found that works, it will turn the TV off and on, control the volume, and enables mute. The only other thing it doesn't do is change the video input, I'm still working on finding that. If this helps, please give me some kudos.

TV images are distorted with

its the problem of the power supply board or the inverter board getting overheated.due to this the picture becomes blurry.it needs to be checked by meter on the power supply board for faulty components or weak components.as the components supporting the green color may be weak or may be near to faulty.so the color looks distorted on screen,. buy if the power supply board does not have any weak components then its problem in inverter board.that has to be checked by the meter. also you will have to check out that wires are connected properly if any wire gets bit loose then that particular color will have problem.so check out all the wires by removing and re tightening it and confirm every connection is proper. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

How do you wall mount a 37

Hi Is it a 32" or 37" as the one you mention at the top is a 32". The product spec doesn't state that it is wall mountable, some aren't. However, providing your two holes are structural and not just into the plastic, what I did with my non mountable TV in a similar predicament to you, is to buy 2 steel rulers off ebay,(£2) drill holes in them to enable them to be screwed to the back of the TV, then where the two existing holes are at the end, used for haning the rulers up, I made into slots so that the ruler now looks like it has a hook on the end. I then drilled holes in the wall corresponding to the same on the TV, shove rawl plugs in and then the screws leave about 5mm - 8mm head out of the wall in and literally just hook the TV on the wall. Fit nice and flush & saves a fortune in rip off brackets too.
