My bunn coffee maker is making loud noises when it

The noise can occur when there is a heavy buildup of calcium on the heater coil. This causes the coil to get much hotter since the layer of calcium acts as an insulator and the water may come to a boil because the coil rises to a high temperature trying to heat the water.
Unless it is too clogged, this may help; empty the water out completely, then put two cups of regular vinegar in the water chamber and turn on the power for a half-minute or until liquid appears in the pot.
Let it sit overnight and then let the remaining vinegar pump through. You will have to run several pots of water through the machine or have some really strange-tasting coffee.
There are commercial products that act more quickly and thoroughly than vinegar but also much more caustic.

How to clean lime

You should call your vendor for service. *** the following is for information only *** * Lime build up is caused by heated water standing and cooling off or drying out as it stands. * Daily wipe down of equipment and removal of standing water puddles help minimize this build up. * washing pots daily will remove coffee stains and prevent build up. * Do not allow pots with coffee or water to sit overnite on warmer plate. * Internal lime requires a qualified tech to disassemble equip to service. * check bunn.com for free download of manual and cleaning instructions. I don't know how to calibrate my coffee grinder

Check bunn.com for a free download of your model's manual. You should contact your vendor for service. *** the following is for information only. Service should be performed by a qualified tech.*** * Most Bunn grinders usually have an adjustment screw in the middle of the burr plate housing. * LPG is under the bottom chute. It's hard to see and you may need a mirror. Take a stubby flat blade screw driver in the slot and turn as needed, but go a quarter turn at a time! * G2/3 have a large dial with the grind sizes clearly marked out. There is an adjust/calibration screw in the center of the knob. * G9 have a large bolt in the center of the burr with a slot that could fit a quarter coin in it. You must un tighten the locking nut to turn it. Make sure you lock it down again after the adjustment. * Final; if there any loud noise or grinding metal sounds or the motor hums and stops. Then turn off grinder right away. Back off whatever you did last and try again. If it's still making noises then unplug and call your vendor for service. Aloha, ukeboy57

Cleaning

Check bunn.com for a free download of manual with maintenance instructions. * In general; -Keep the area clean by wiping down with a damp clean cloth. -Remove the brew funnel and wipe spray head of coffee and grit. -Wash the brew funnel after each use. -Dump out old coffee and wash pots after closing. Heavy coffee stained pots can be filled with plain water and soak over nite. Rinse clean before using. -For extreme caked on dried coffee pots; fill with hot water and leave on warmer over nite. Ask vendor for URN cleaner and add a tablespoon in pot with hot water. Let sit over nite on warmer plate. Rinse clean prior to use. -Check if everything is working properly. Better to call and leave a message for service. * when in doubt, call vendor for service. Aloha, ukeboy57

No power

* Check bunn.com for a free download of manual for this brewer. * If this is a pour over (VPR, VPS, etc.) then you must pre fill it then pour in one pot of water to get one pot of brewing hot water out of it. * If this has an external tank of water then it must be filled and make sure the float sensor works and pops up to indicate a filled tank. * But most likely this is a CWTF, CW, or larger commercial brewer that has a plumbed in water line. If this is the case then the tank must be pre-filled and heater turned on. (a switch in the back) Installation is usually done by the vendor or service tech. It should have been tested and brewed to check water level of brew. Follow the brewing instructions. * Still not working? Call vendor for service. It could be timer, brew switch, water level board, water fill valve, brew valve. all need check and service to replace as needed. Many larger units have high voltages so call the tech to be safe. Bunn cwtf15 3L pf

You should call your vendor for service on any commercial brewer. (Especially if it's on loan from them) *** the following is for information only as all repairs should be performed by a qualified tech.*** * There is an on/off heater switch located in the back of the brewer. This should be on when the brewer is needed. There will be a 20 minute wait for the "ready" to brew light comes on. If you brew before the light comes on then the coffee will be only warm. * If everything is on and looks okay but it takes forever to light the ready light then the main heater is not working. Call your vendor for service. Aloha, ukboy57 P.S. The 3 liter brewer has a much larger tank than the regular 2.5 brewer. So expect it to take a bit longer to reheat a full brew. Some customers will request the 'Airpot' or 'Pump pot' to be filled to the top which means even more water is needed to be heated. Expect at least a 20-30 minute wait on reheating. I've found that customers that use this large a pump pot will brew +3 pots in a row. (Regular, Decafe, and a 2nd regular or 'flavored' coffee.) Often brewing without waiting for the ready light. If this is the case then mention this to your vendor. You may need a 2nd brewer, larger brewer, or have the brewer hooked up to the 'Hot' water line to get pre-heated water to the brewer (though they may need to modify the water valve to one that is rated for hot water inlet line.). If your using larger 3L decanters then having pre-heated decanters and using the 'pour over' function can aid with faster brews. Though this method is a lot of work for the operator.

Does this KitchenAid Pro Line coffeemaker have a "line in" feature?

The KitchenAid Pro Line on the Williams Sonoma site only shows counter top pour over type brewers. Most "Plumb in" brewers are commercial level brewers. The common Brands are Bunn, Curtis, Bloomfield, Kraft, etc. All commercial brewers require a qualified technician to install. Most require plumbing, electrical, and set up prior to uses. The installer will hook up the water line, fill and test the brewer, adjust it to the size of decanter you are using. Check the coffee amount matches your brewer and decanter. * I would recommend taking a look at the Bunn CWTF line for a model that would fit your needs. (I'm a retired coffee tech that worked on many brands. Bunn is very reliable. Curtis would be another good choice.) I have a Bunn G9tl, the motor hums but the rotor does not spin, I can turn freely by hand. Any Ideas?

You should call your vendor for service. Especially if this equipment is on loan. *** The following is for information only. All repairs should be performed by a qualified tech.*** Okay, I'm NOT going to ask how you turn the burrs. * The starter capacitor is bad or disconnected. It's the bulge on the top of the motor. * There usually a schematic on the back plate or panel. * Go to bunn.com to download the Bunn manual which has the wiring diagram on the back pages. This should be a FREE download. AVOID using the word "manual" as it will re-direct you to scam sites that charge for free stuff. * I know following the wires is a bit tricky.. Especially on the G9-2 with everything doubled. Take your time or seek help from a tech or your vendor. * The capacitor is round and usually attached to the motor like a 'hump' on the side or near the top. If you didn't take it apart then one of the wires in the switching side may be miss wired or loose. Check both for loose and correct wired. Careful around the capacitor as it may still have a charge! * The capacitor is used to kick start the motor with it's heavy burr plates. Oh, and if your still having problems with low power. Check the motor for burnt smell as you may have overheated and fried the motor. They usually have thermal resets, but if you kept forcing the reset to keep grinding then the motor is defiantly burnt out. Aloha, ukeboy57 PS. Removing the rotor can be tricky. I did have one with a bolt ground up between the two plates. Hammer time! Not fun. Try a large gear puller but you really have to be careful and not damage the shaft. Check the manual to make sure you have all the parts assembled right. There is a 'button' that goes under the adjustment screw. Looks like a nickle with a dent in it. Also adjusting the burrs too far out will grind metal (from the case) or grind the burrs if it's too far in. Many try to grind stuff to "Espresso" fine grind to get more flavor from the brew but this just shortens the life of the burr plates and overheat the motor which is not rated for this fine a grind. (use a G3 or espresso grinder for this purpose.)

My bunn coffeemaker NHS-B trip the GFI. Where do I find the code date on my brewer?

The NHS-B has a semi-sealed tank that keeps +1 pot of water heated and ready to brew. Pouring in a full pot of cold water will fill the top tray and allow a slow trickle of cold water into the top which forces hot water to over flow into the brew basket. This continues until all the cold water drains into the heater tank. So the brew is matched volume per volume. UNLESS the thank was empty or not filled prior to brewing. Follow the brewing instructions from Bunn (on line for *FREE* download at Bunn.com) * If it leaks (from the bottom) only when you pour in water. Then your pouring it too fast and over flowing the fill tray. slowdown, watch the level in the tray. do not fill past the lid. * If it leaks just sitting (not brewing) then there is a hole in the tank. Call for service. * If it leaks after filling the tray half way. then the top of the tank has a leak, loose, cracked, or missing gasket. There is quite a few gaskets on the lid. Call for service. * Final; Leaks are always bad around electrical equip. Best to unplug and call for service to be safe. Aloha, ukeboy57 P.S. If you did splash too much water then wipe up as much as you can. Leave it out on a towel or paper towels to allow the excess moisture to evaporate. If you dump all the water out of the brewer (and tank) then you will need to pre-fill it with a pot of water PRIOR to plugging in the brewer. Follow the set up instructions in the manual. Let it heat up and try again. If it's still leaking then there is a hole in the tank. Call for service.

My Bunn CWTF15 coffee maker will not brew a pot when the brew button is pushed. The unit will dispense hot water from the spigot Is the a potential blockage or is it more complex

You should call your vendor for service on any commercial brewer. (Especially if it's on loan from them) *** the following is for information only as all repairs should be performed by a qualified tech.*** The CWTF has a start switch activates the timer (analog or digital) board which turns on the water feed to the brew tank. This forces previously heated water out and sprayed over the ground coffee in the brew funnel. Coffee then drips into the decanter. * It's not often this momentary brew switch goes bad even though it's pressed many times a day. * Check the on/off switch. Most models will light up when switched on. * Check the timer. Digital timers tend to be sensitive to electrical storms. Analog timers have a dial and are more tolerant of electrical surges. * Check the water fill solenoid. Should be a definite click when activated. Water filling sound should be very clear. * No water flow then check the water supply line if it's on. * Final; this brewer needs service. Call your coffee vendor for advice. Aloha, ukboy57

Bought our Bunn coffee maker in April. It now leaks a lot of water from bottom. We heard that you would replace it with a new one.

Bunn is very good about replacing their products. I'm attaching two links, the first one describes the BUNN warranty. The second one allows you to lookup your specific product, please scroll to the bottom of this page and insert your serial number. Hope this helps. http://www.bunn.com/sites/default/files/wysiwyg/bunn_home_product_warranty.pdf Product Warranties

I cannot get sprayhead to unscrew

If it's round about the size of a 50 cent piece then it unscrews counter clockwise. You can still clean it with a tooth brush of espresso brush. Wipe clean when done. Aloha, ukeboy57

I can't get the spray head off of my Bunn Coffee maker. It seems to be stuck.

Bunn spray heads are about the size of a 50 cent piece. They should unscrew counter-clockwise. Only these round ones unscrew. Call your vendor to have them checked and replaced as needed. They do get very dirty if not wiped down daily. They should be serviced every 6 months (minimal service) you can still wipe and clean them with a tooth brush or portafilter brush (espresso brush) while still on the brewer. Aloha, ukboy57

My model bunn grx-b stopped working. Checked continuity on tank, fuse on tank, bottom switch, can top switch be at fauLt? If so how do I remove it?

Bunn switches if the rocker style as the looks like will have two leaves on the side of the switch that will need to be squeezed in order to get it past the square hole. These can be really tight but if your sure it's at fault then just crush it to remove the pieces. The new on should snap in if the hole was not damaged. * Since your checking the brewer you should get the manual that may be available from Bunn.com (I haven't checked for this model but they usually post the manuals) * This seems to be a home version of a VPR commercial brewer (but nicer). So expect the same parts for the fuse, thermal fuse, thermal disk (or thermostat). * Note: If your not familiar with Bunn brewers then make sure you look at every piece of wire as some high limit fuses are inside plastic tubing or heater braiding. * Thermal disks look like a metal button with a ceramic cap or button attached to it. This can be a high limit (reset-able) or a thermostat. * It may have a standard thermostat with bulb but it may be a thermsistor probe with a PC board to control the brew heat. * Final; this is the 3d question on this particular brewer. All have similar problems with heating. It's the same with VPR's. If I set them up I know it works properly. It's when someone moves them to another office that's the problem as they dump out the water prior to the move then plug it in without refilling the tank. Thermal fuse blows. There is a link below showing how to set up this brewer. Aloha, ukeboy57 https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=bunn+grx-b&&view=detail&mid=E6D1ADD550DA3DA5B120E6D1ADD550DA3DA5B120&&FORM=VDRVRV

Our bunn NHS Velocity was unplugged accidently. Now when we make coffee it is really luke warm and the light doesn't appear on

This is really a home style VPR brewer (but looks nicer) if you listen to their video (link below) they mention it has a pre-heated tank of water already in the brewer. This means the brewer needs to be pre-filled with a full pot of water and pre-heated prior to using the brewer. Unplugging this unit won't be a problem UNLESS it was emptied of tank water and not refilled when powered up. * The unit will try and heat up the tank of water but if empty then just air which overheats the unit then blows the thermal fuse. Call for service. * The warmer is still working but it's not hot enough to brew frequently as the warmer may take up to an hour to get the tank hot enough to brew or it may not get hot at all if it's own thermal fuse blew too. * Final; call for service to be safe. Aloha, ukboy57 https://www.amazon.com/BUNN-Velocity-10-Cup-Coffee-Brewer/dp/B00EAQJCWW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516431654&sr=8-1&keywords=bunn+nhs+velocity
