That just means your machine is to cold to start. It will heat up automatically and then start mixing. It will happen within 30 minutes of pushing the start button.

Bread pan Capacities

Here is how you determine the size of loaf you can bake in your machine. You need to determine the capacity of your pan. Fill your pan with water and measure the cups added so you know how many cups of water are in the pan when it is full to the very top. Here are the conversions:

1)If your pan holds less than 10 cups of water you can make: a 1 pound loaf

2)If your pan holds 10 cups of water you can make: a 1 pound loaf and a 1.5 pound loaf

3)If your pan holds 12 cups you can make: a 1 pound, 1.5 pound, and a 2.0 pound loaf

This is rare, but if you pan holds 14 cups or more you can make all the above plus a 2.5 pound loaf

I have the TR 500 manual... E:02 states: displays when you press Start button: the Breadman is too cold. Unplug the machine and allow it to heat up to room temp and try again.

You are engaging the time delay switch when you start changing the time on your machine. Don't do anything with the clock or timer. You need to just choose the whole wheat program and the machine will perform as it is supposed to.

I have nearly the same unit. Per the manual: "the E:02 displays when you press Start button and it senses the Breadman is too cold. Unplug the machine and allow it to heat up to room temperature, then try again."

I've also heard that if you don't want to wait, you can use a hair dryer to heat surface!

I just pulled out the instruction manual, and it says:
E:02 Displays when you press Start button:
The Breadman is too cold. Unplug the machine and allow it to heat up to room temperature, then try again.

I don't know how you're supposed to let it heat up to room temperature if you've had it in a room with a nice room temperature with it unplugged, but that's what the manual says.

The code E02 comes up when the unit is cold. Try putting a hair dryer on it to warm it up a little. Sounds crazy but it worked for me.
