Razer Copperhead mouse problem

Check the BIOS settings on your computer: is it set to boot from USB drive?  that may be the problem.

My Razor Copperhead mouse restarts

I found that when this was happening to me the problem area was where the wire meets the mouse. By wiggling that (moving the mouse) it would cause it to disconnect and reconnect.

Some claim it could be the firmware for various hardware pieces on your pc IE: motherboard, usb. Depending on how old the mouse is this could be true. Mine, however, is 4 years old and needs to either be repaired or replaced.

My scroll isnt working on my razer copperhead, any

Just had the same problem with my copperhead... firstly go to url below to show you how to open up the copperhead (only do this if it's out of warranty!! which is two years if you have your purchase recipt) http://razerblueprints.net/index.php/Copperhead/copperhead-disassembly-guide.html . Once you have got the top off look at the front where the wheel attaches you can pull the wheel out of the circular thing on the left then find some thin paper I used some laser receipt paper (probably gonna wear out but will find something better in meantime) cover the hole with a very small square of whatever thin material you have chosen then push the axle of the wheel back in... this tightens the hole back up allowing the clicking feel to come back and the scroll wheel to work again.
Ultimately the problem is wear and tear with the hole for the axle or the shape of the axle end wearing down.

My left click does not work and i have all recent

There could be a possibility that the left button itself have gone bad. Try connecting the mouse into another computer to see if you'll get the same problem.

Good luck!

My copper piping inn my home is turning green at

Hi:
Copper pipe that is exposed to the elements will turn green, but normally isn't a problem, though you should periodically have a look at it. If any of the "green" area starts looking puffy, or building up, it could be more serious corrosion, and could cause a leak down the road..

My cord on my razer copperhead mouse is broken

Gaming mice are not cheap, sell for $30 - 130. The cord on my RAZER DIAMONDBACK mouse went bad, I opened the mouse & repaired the broken wires. You have to unplug cord from inside mouse, the connection plug has very small barbs,so you have to pry the socket open a bit to unplug it.Once the cord is out cut the rubber part on the cord that connects to mouse that reinforces the cord.Cut it off on both side, pull out the remaining bits of wire. You have to enlarge the hole in the rubber grommet to reinsert the cord threw it,a heated wire the size of the cord works well to enlarge the hole.Run cord thew grommet splice wires, solder wires if you have a soldering iron makes the best repair, splice wires offset from each other,so they are not all sliced at same location.Use a good tape to isulate the spliced area on each wire, about 1/2 of tape per splice,Scotch Super 33+ Premium Vinyl Electrical Tape. Once you have taped each wire, tape all the wires together, for better isulation.Reinslall wire harness & test mouse.

Left click is broken

Actually, first you should try taking the mouse open and cleaning the sensor clicker thing or whole mouses insides, I had similar problem before, that fixed it for me.

Other option which I haven't tried and am not sure if works, you could try to move one of the side buttons that you don't use sensor to the place of the left mouse button. This I HIGHLY advice against tho since this might break down the mouse totally.

Then again if it comes down to not properly working mouse and you have to get new one versus broken mouse and you have to get new one, you have nothing to lose.

Mouse cutting out

Wish i had a proper solution for this, but im getting the same problem but have found out something interesting....

I recently formatted my machine (xp) and i didn't have a single problem for about 4 weeks!
I have an idea that its a windows update that causes the problem.

Left click is broken

I came across this post while having the same double-click issue with my copperhead. I've found that the cause is the plastic contact under the left click button itself. It wears out and takes on the shape of the microswitch underneath. To fix it all you have to do is follow the instruction for taking the mouse apart posted above and lightly filing the plastic contact flat again. You only want to take the notch out of it.

Razer

Hmm...I managed to solve the problem of mouse "breaking" while playing counter strike..Its a lil technical...

1. Right Click My Computer -> Properties
2. Choose 'Hardware' tab and then 'Device Manager'
3. You should see a Yellow exclamation mark on 'Razer Copperhead USB mouse' under 'Human Interface devices'
4. Right click -> properties
-------------------------------------------------------------
I do not exactly remember the wordings of the prompts that appear after this..

5. Click on something which says "install / update driver"
6. Choose the 1st option which has something missing in one of the columns..
7. Unzip downloaded driver files on your desktop
8. Choose logical options from here...
9. At some point it will ask for "Razerlow.sys" file...
10. Click browse and go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers....you will find it there...
11. Choose logical options from here and your "breaking" problem will be solved...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This does not solve the "No mouse detected" message in configurator...but atleast you can play your favorite game :-)

Detected before, but not after. Help me please,

Go to device manager and uninstall everything under the USB heading and restart your computer. This should reinstall all the drivers and hopefully reinstall your mouse. You may need to rerun the driver you downloaded for the mouse afterwards.

My next suggestion your be to try the mouse on another computer to make sure it is not defective.
