Errore 051099-1

Error Code: 051099-1, this happens because it appears that the settings entered into the Nintendo DS are not compatible, or the router's broadcast settings should be changed. To fix this try creating a new connection with your system. Make sure your router is set to broadcast in "b" or "mixed" mode. If your wireless router is transmitting in "N" only mode, you will need to switch it to "b/g" or "mixed" mode. Also check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Nintendo DS.

How can i connect internet in my dsi

To connect to the internet in a Nintendo DSI: 1 You must either have broadband internet access and a wireless router or you can connect your Nintendo DSi at a hotspot, such as a library or coffee shop that offers internet access. Make sure you are in a location mentioned above before going to step 2. 2 Turn on your Nintendo DSi and click on the wrench icon. This will take you to the system settings. 3 Go to page 3 and select "Internet". 4 Click "Connection Settings". 5 Click "None" to the right of "Connection 1". 6 Click "Search for an Access Point". 7 Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected. 8 If you are planning on playing games online with your Nintendo DSi and have WPA security, you will have to set your router to WEP security. To do this, get back to the "Connection Settings" screen mentioned in step 4. Click "Advanced Setup". Click any button that says "none". Click "Search for an Access Point". Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected.

How do you get on

To connect your DSi to the internet, you'll need access to a wireless network (from a wireless router, for example).

On your DSI you'll want to navigate to System Settings > Internet (it's on page 3) > Connection Settings. Select an empty connection to use (it'll say "None"). Select the "Search for an Access Point" option; it'll show you all available networks in range. Select yours and provide any security key/password if needed.

If this wasn't descriptive enough, Nintendo offers an excellent interactive guides for setting up your Nintendo DSi.

Here is the link to the Automatic Setup process.
If that doesn't work, here's the link to the Manual Setup process.
Still have troubles? Nintendo has you covered.

Once you've made a connection, just use the DSi browser and you'll be on the internet.

Hope that helped!

Nintendo DS Lite will not power up

This can sometimes be caused by the single smt capacitor on the board in the top half that the screen cables plug in to. Try replacing the cap or the entire board.

have you tried updating the firmware on the DS? It maybe because of that , that it wont play newer games? You will need to connect the DS via wifi to your home network the same way your laptop etc connects to it and then go into the DS settings menu and choose system update. Make sure the DS is fully charged and connected to a mains charger BEFORE updating. See if that solves your problem for you
