Keurig B60 Coffee Maker - Page 4 Questions & Answers
How do I empty the water from the main reservoir?
Turn off the Keurig coffee maker, and unplug the power cord. Allow the unit to cool for 30 minutes before emptying the water. This gives the water inside the hot water tank an opportunity to cool, helping to prevent accidental scalding when emptying.
Pull the lid off the top of the water reservoir. Lift the water reservoir straight up and to the right of the coffee maker. Pour out any remaining water in the reservoir into the sink.
Turn the small thumb screw on the back of the Keurig coffee maker counterclockwise with your fingers, and pull off the rear access panel. If the screw is too tight to turn with your fingers, use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the screw. Once you remove the access panel, a tube with a plug on the end is visible. Pull the tube out of the plastic clip holder.
Place a large pitcher behind the coffee maker. Hold the end of the tube over the pitcher, and pull the plug out of the tube. Allow the water to drain into the pitcher. If necessary, maneuver the coffee maker to the edge of the counter, and hold the pitcher alongside the counter with the top at counter level.
Push the plug back into the end of the tube once no more water drains from the hot water tank. Empty the pitcher of water into the sink, and push the tube back into the plastic clip holder. Position the back access panel onto the coffee maker and secure with the thumb screw knob.

How to stop water from leaking from a B60 Keurig
Are you using the refillable K cup?
They don't seal properly and water goes everywhere.
The black and red ones that are 4 for $20 at your local pharmacy work better. Another fix is to remove the seal around the top spike and put a small O ring behind it, to make the seal thicker and seal better.
Coffee grounds in the coffee
There are a couple things that could cause that, that I experienced:
1. I found that the water injection needle sometimes gets dirty. Coffee grounds are in it and cause the water to go over the top and wash coffee past the k-cup into your coffee cup.
You can use a paperclip to clean out the needle.
2. There is a whole in the k-cup somewhere or the lid is not properly / or strongly enough glued to the k-cup. The water-pressure then pushes coffee out of those holes around the k-cup into the coffee mug.
3. The plastic insert where you put the k-cup in is dirty itself (I have to clean it every now and then).
4. The coffee in the k-cup is ground so fine that it gets pushed through the whole on the bottom that is being punshed for the water to escape.
Not getting full cup
Remove the tank. Dump the water. Feel inside. If slippery, a bio-film is forming from leaving water in it all the time and not washing regularly. At the bottom of the tank is a small valve and fine mesh filter held with 3 screws. Remove the screws to separate the valve from the tank. Clean the mesh by scrubbing with a cleaner and old toothbrush for several minutes. Rinse well. Direct a stream of water from faucet thru the mesh filter. If passing thru, reinstall and reassemble. If not, continue cleaning the mesh or obtain a replacement.
Don't leave water in the tank all the time. Clean as per directions and you should have great luck .
It is stuck on large and does not brew
My keurig did the exact same thing. Stuck on large and wasn't pulling water into coffee maker so it would only dispense a small amt of coffee. I turned it off for about 10 mins. Emptied the reservoir and filled it half way with white vinegar. Ran several cups through and after 2nd brew it ran faster and after the 3rd run with vinegar all the size cup lights came back on. It is working great now. Just empty reservoir with remaining vinegar and rinse. Run a couple cycles of plain water through the coffee maker to rinse out vinegar. I hope this works for you.
Add water light comes on when it is full
Try using warmer water. At 113 degrees our 2.0 finally admitted that the reservoir did in fact have enough water to operate. I filled the reservoir half full of drinking water and then heated other water in a water kettle. Just before it boiled I began pouring it in the reservoir until the Max level. To my delight when I pushed the continue button this time it worked. Customer Service had said to use luke warm/ room temperature water. For our Keurig, the water needed to be at least 113 degrees. Hope this helps.
