Unplug the power cord from the printer (top left side). Hold the paper feed button while plugging the cord back in.

its a serial connector

This is a VERY common problem for these printer models and occurs as the terminal ages. This is caused by a faulty paper feed sensor and needs to be sent in to an authorized service center to have the sensor replaced and paper feed adjusted.

If you are using the PrintPak 350 printer, you can use either a standard serial printer cable to connect to your computer, or use a serial-to-usb adapter cable to plug it into an open usb port. Once plugged in, your computer should assign a Generic printer driver to the device automatically.

You can connect it two(2) ways...

1) use a standard serial cable (printer cable)
2) purchase a USB-to-Serial adaptor and plug it in to an open USB port.

Either way, once it is connected the system should see it and assign a generic printer driver.

• Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
• Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
• restart the computer
• try to download drivers from the website
• after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
• then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

If your printer has a "Centronics" printer connection (a large 2"wide connector) and your computer has only USB connections, you need a "USB to Centronics" printer cable. Easiest way is to buy one from the internet. Use your favourite search site or EBay to locate and purchase. Most computer stores will not have them in stock.

Go to the Verifone website, look up your printer, and you should find what you need in your Support section.

NOTE: The inside cover of the printer has medialoading instructions for vendors.

1. Open the lid of the printer by pressing in on the two (2) Blue buttons on both sides of the printer, and lift upward.
2. Press down on the Green Printhead Latch, and raise the Printhead Carrier assembly to a vertical and locked position.
3. Remove the Ink Ribbons (Supply and Take-up Hubs/Spindles) from the Printhead Carrier by pushing in, and lifting up.
4. Slide both ribbons off the hubs, and discard them into the trash.
5. Slide an empty core onto the take-up hub. (The attached new roll of ribbon includes a new supply hub.)
6. Unroll a 1-foot length of ribbon. (The foiled side will need to be facing the Printhead and rollers.)
7. Insert the supply hub/ribbon into the rear spring-loaded spindle.
8. Starting from the back of the Printhead Carrier, thread the take-up hub/core in between the black guide bar and the two (2) aluminum rollers.
9. Continue past the Printhead, and over the 3rd aluminum roller.
10. Insert the take-up hub into the spring-loaded spindle 'star' hole.
11. Position the license paper (media) over the rubber roller to the edge of the opening with one hand.
12. With your other hand, lower the Printhead Carrier to its locked position.
13. Close the printer lid.
