Sounds like you have burnt something. May have shorted out. Shut it down and pull the plug or could maybe cause a fire. Get a professional to look at it.

Hello Jack Poole, What I'm getting (here in USA) seems to indicate a UK appliance ... Really does not matter... The base principles remain the same just the "PARTS" search turns into a "SPARES" search. Your unit is complaining about the heater element not functioning... which could be the heater or the logic which drives it... and EVERY CONNECTION in between. Look on your schematic for your heater and logic board part numbers... and search for those... HOPEFULLY you will also find "helpful videos" from the VENDORS... The ones on youtube .. VARY WILDLY (from planet to planet).
